I just don't know where the time goes. Went to a retreat, did lots of stitching and added to my stash. I went to the Dying to Stitch retreat in Virginia beach earlier this month. I went with mu friends, Nataly and Ellen. I drove, so I thought I would stop at some of my favorite shops on the way. We ran into a lot of traffic so I had to cut one shop out. We did make it In Stitches in Virginia. I just love this store. I only get there once a year or so but they always remember my name. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgv1vbzyVpWmFcNFEo_5zv_8zrU_mMKwGNCRRWXqoOWWkuJ6tQcQiAZLEKzE0olrJjwEFS-9eyMhbMxkxWZNZ2mvpuiLv-VzIZpf3dnKMow0PEUx5suRqfS2Djh7hBun5ec-_Za7ZcZF1g/s1600/IMG_2599.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgv1vbzyVpWmFcNFEo_5zv_8zrU_mMKwGNCRRWXqoOWWkuJ6tQcQiAZLEKzE0olrJjwEFS-9eyMhbMxkxWZNZ2mvpuiLv-VzIZpf3dnKMow0PEUx5suRqfS2Djh7hBun5ec-_Za7ZcZF1g/s320/IMG_2599.JPG" /></a></div> We were invited to stitch group that night. We were too tired to stitch but had a lovely time talking to the girls. I was so pleased to meet Glenna. Her blog is Eye of the Needle. Please check it out. She also does the store blog, as well. I bought many pieces of fabric, floss and a few charts. If you are in the area (Arlington, VA) you really need to stop by. We then traveled on to the retreat. I had the best time. We took Paulette's class and Jeanette's class. Both were great pieces and both classes were so much fun. If you go to Plum Streets blog and Faye's blog you will see all the pictures. They took much better pic's than I did. The weather was hot and humid. We walked the board walk. Found great places to eat. Hopefully, they will hold another one in 2 years!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg-jLFlCyyFhutGYCJZqC6538Is0RbZQkMvRo6nZtoe-ZMWwlFUPifH4_2ODjijFMjUmveOrW202hbjkXDhzjTw3wI7PYo9JE45foWoCh8YvDMU0Vu44zrDIaabMd-3gTkanpRimIYJMw/s1600/IMG_2604.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg-jLFlCyyFhutGYCJZqC6538Is0RbZQkMvRo6nZtoe-ZMWwlFUPifH4_2ODjijFMjUmveOrW202hbjkXDhzjTw3wI7PYo9JE45foWoCh8YvDMU0Vu44zrDIaabMd-3gTkanpRimIYJMw/s320/IMG_2604.JPG" /></a></div> The view from our roon. Still doing some birthday stuff, took a trip to Nantucket and forgot my camera, stitching with friends and all the normal life stuff. I have stitched, of course. Lets start with my Chessie and Me club piece. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoQWvjg1-NdMIQzsNOIfvyo-DB4kGtMdeMlsYwiGmaxHtfPY06wzOCK7cWkxd9wjTW5exo4w_OPg7apUDr4lYCgvfQzJObpUpnQs0DEqEWXq_yAfq-_ZsDMaUTza1OOWODTHCboA2gzug/s1600/IMG_2581.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoQWvjg1-NdMIQzsNOIfvyo-DB4kGtMdeMlsYwiGmaxHtfPY06wzOCK7cWkxd9wjTW5exo4w_OPg7apUDr4lYCgvfQzJObpUpnQs0DEqEWXq_yAfq-_ZsDMaUTza1OOWODTHCboA2gzug/s320/IMG_2581.JPG" /></a></div> This piece was so fun to do. Nataly attached it to the hornbook for me. Thanks friend. I had Vonna finish the small Drawn Thread piece for me. Her work is wonderful. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWkUtErIdWPo9CNXcpmLMStZkRdnR5vMIoI8YCB07tTcKKIvBWvDZ48VX0ai1JFQtG1dsAIiOj09O5nO6EpyR0pYvfV51W7WGjK7FgIYsRAAqb_ioNdCegpvBOd00Rrqs2NMxTcMQIeBY/s1600/IMG_2582.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWkUtErIdWPo9CNXcpmLMStZkRdnR5vMIoI8YCB07tTcKKIvBWvDZ48VX0ai1JFQtG1dsAIiOj09O5nO6EpyR0pYvfV51W7WGjK7FgIYsRAAqb_ioNdCegpvBOd00Rrqs2NMxTcMQIeBY/s320/IMG_2582.JPG" /></a></div> She used 3 different pieces of felt and i just love her bows. Thanks Vonna. I love it. I did Thomas and had him framed. He will be a great addition to the Halloween tree. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBFphqtuMPSsza2Ycw3wH8FwWIeu5MrES1zo0kaFaiWnVWsrnK9BgPnAaqoRAbb5SmR5aA3drU-D177nCO-hZRKe44IUC_VRIpIiiZq2lj9B8I9LuU1ZmzjQ4S04xFl5cfmRlImorrWiU/s1600/IMG_2570.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBFphqtuMPSsza2Ycw3wH8FwWIeu5MrES1zo0kaFaiWnVWsrnK9BgPnAaqoRAbb5SmR5aA3drU-D177nCO-hZRKe44IUC_VRIpIiiZq2lj9B8I9LuU1ZmzjQ4S04xFl5cfmRlImorrWiU/s320/IMG_2570.JPG" /></a></div> I had Autumn by Drawn Thread framed. This piece is small, so I used 2 mats and glass with the frame. It really is pretty. Had to get a good pic due to the glare. The frame goes really well with the orange mat. I am currently working on Noel by WTN. I am not a huge Christmas stitcher but i loved this design. It's large but so much fun to do. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4rAHDagiao93h6R0Zv_tcXgpbmrhUEX0_UuLtQRJPH9kggpjDsCwHlmsk9XIJcxqF22LdLLjUk-QuLIO9dLwQCurO8_jFRH_KhWoKm9XYVfj1K2XwYceFhwwP7lyX3KGQxGf1RLjUjZo/s1600/IMG_2594.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4rAHDagiao93h6R0Zv_tcXgpbmrhUEX0_UuLtQRJPH9kggpjDsCwHlmsk9XIJcxqF22LdLLjUk-QuLIO9dLwQCurO8_jFRH_KhWoKm9XYVfj1K2XwYceFhwwP7lyX3KGQxGf1RLjUjZo/s320/IMG_2594.JPG" /></a></div> Sorry about the wrinkles. I don't iron until I am finished. Love the red house, the deer, the borders! I just love it all. This post is long, so thanks for hanging in with me. I am always slow to start,so I recently discovered Instagram. It's so much fun. I am at cranberrysampling. Let me know if any of you are on instagram. I would love to see your pictures. Stitchers are the best! I spent some time in Chatham on the Cape with family. It was a beautiful week to be on the Cape. Went to New Hampshire for a day of shopping and great food. This is Autumn Jumble by DT. This another really small design. Sorry about the wrinkles. I am thinking that it will be framed with a mat or two. Time will tell. I would like to think that my Halloween stitching has come to and end but have you seen the new BBD pieces that are coming out at market? Awesome! I won't be able to pass them up. That's it for now. Thanks for visiting and leaving the best comments. I love them. Until next time .... Happy Stitching! I always have been. So, my Halloween stitching has started. On my last post I did All Hallows Eve by Barbara Ana. It is now framed and waiting for October. Isn't he the cutest. Don't remember the name of the pattern but it is a WTN design. I will be gone from the blog for the next couple of weeks. Spending time with relatives on the cape and having a birthday next week. Thanks for visiting and leaving wonderful comments. Until next time ...... Happy Stitching! I need to thank everyone for all the great comments. It's those comments that keep me blogging. I also want to welcome my new followers. It's been extremely hot and humid in MA this summer. What that means to me is more stitching time in the air conditioning. I was never a summer person. I don't enjoy the beach. I burn very easily. I really don't like the heat and humidity. I can't wait for the fall! So I have been doing fall stitching. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOX9N33taWrg7b5fAz8VtvfyZ4tWjP0Axv4Simc5F_VAEC7CDoqKRwk3kW-x_mC0EkOMzTh7B_838YOVTKyTkOwAse1_Z_YvfxNNKrLn3RzHc_2ypha2AIjgzwdfQga7PLB5DtHQerZHc/s1600/IMG_2517.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOX9N33taWrg7b5fAz8VtvfyZ4tWjP0Axv4Simc5F_VAEC7CDoqKRwk3kW-x_mC0EkOMzTh7B_838YOVTKyTkOwAse1_Z_YvfxNNKrLn3RzHc_2ypha2AIjgzwdfQga7PLB5DtHQerZHc/s320/IMG_2517.JPG" /></a></div> I needed to finish the PS monthly series. I had only August and September to do to complete the series. They both are done on 32 ct lambswool linen using DMC fibers. I have an in and out frame for them all. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCGIXOetZrR6hgtLfP_NbUNyJrog922pJpf7Jzfr-CptJkorHGdtr0u2mfgTpTmKLluAItqj1vMhxy_I4n_xTkYoA6kLFsqItsjwM1s75t0f2RLOE6OU93nXKvYCfEdI-MvZN8HTfuHnM/s1600/IMG_2518.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCGIXOetZrR6hgtLfP_NbUNyJrog922pJpf7Jzfr-CptJkorHGdtr0u2mfgTpTmKLluAItqj1vMhxy_I4n_xTkYoA6kLFsqItsjwM1s75t0f2RLOE6OU93nXKvYCfEdI-MvZN8HTfuHnM/s320/IMG_2518.JPG" /></a></div> I had a hard with September. I don't like guns and really didn't like the hunter holding the rabbit he shot. I tried to change it but nothing else I came up with fit in so I stitched it the way it was charted. Hopefully, I can do many more before the holiday. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTlBZeOb_gx_laBEWZllXsRiW7WzoOEevJivMKdhNCmqqAZdtsbI4ICMQABOT8v-ljrO6-5rvCt7Wy38n6qArq3eD_iSU3XwnrOZMv3tNaI0uZpVgrwr9kLPMmPl6UIL19Sijf5pNWyGQ/s1600/IMG_2513.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTlBZeOb_gx_laBEWZllXsRiW7WzoOEevJivMKdhNCmqqAZdtsbI4ICMQABOT8v-ljrO6-5rvCt7Wy38n6qArq3eD_iSU3XwnrOZMv3tNaI0uZpVgrwr9kLPMmPl6UIL19Sijf5pNWyGQ/s320/IMG_2513.JPG" /></a></div> This is something I do like about summer. For me, this is the perfect meal. A lobster roll and corn on the cob. It doesn't get better. I will end this blog with a picture of Stella. She hasn't made an appearance in quite some time. She is getting so grownup. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoOqFEW3mGwxLP2sTYPIi7CcClN2uSE7SQ1c8xIi_YMdzH82QL9pbBPJJYcO_SfhztdhFIbQPhPZNeCrruZuMnqmzHvpnXfrikkDDZa2X6Ms1fnmhrSFWJjzYLTPA02BzXDaTpL0x5EtM/s1600/IMG_2511.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoOqFEW3mGwxLP2sTYPIi7CcClN2uSE7SQ1c8xIi_YMdzH82QL9pbBPJJYcO_SfhztdhFIbQPhPZNeCrruZuMnqmzHvpnXfrikkDDZa2X6Ms1fnmhrSFWJjzYLTPA02BzXDaTpL0x5EtM/s320/IMG_2511.JPG" /></a></div> Thanks for reading my blog. The time has flown by. Been busy visiting family and friends in New York City.Went to a 90th birthday party and a christening. Both were wonderful. Done lots of Spring cleaning. Things that needed to be cleaned for a very long time. The yard and gardens have been tended too and look pretty good. Been antiquing with friends. Found some great stuff. Went to Celebrations in May and had the best time with friends. bought some wonderful new stash. And, of course, I have been stitching! I finished Nantucket Girls by PPS. I will do a another post on that piece later. It deserves it's own post. I will start with May Basket by BBD. So cute. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtzODw9InDie1QwkteYrcTS5DNbCG6eCk-frgBzR_mfWef6G5tJPpV6sR12MiJoy8-6S7diwWvUTI-_52NiCl_6ElwSAjH-DobzOyCpJt7PQpywiSJKmVQ6HvO7BJrYbTe-oUV4RooXdA/s1600/IMG_2490.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtzODw9InDie1QwkteYrcTS5DNbCG6eCk-frgBzR_mfWef6G5tJPpV6sR12MiJoy8-6S7diwWvUTI-_52NiCl_6ElwSAjH-DobzOyCpJt7PQpywiSJKmVQ6HvO7BJrYbTe-oUV4RooXdA/s320/IMG_2490.JPG" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRBLMG0ePd9gEUt-ezNPcZlj4GIlbrpp_JLZ-6Y0d2jbtaX-XKMcwyEefDmcyEjYCajkWLk_5tUxIWpwR7sn-xQU2EyJyPHqYt8gDPy8SMuwyQa5z_T8-xKo4-MEyZhsJ9iiemU8e_S4A/s1600/IMG_2491.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRBLMG0ePd9gEUt-ezNPcZlj4GIlbrpp_JLZ-6Y0d2jbtaX-XKMcwyEefDmcyEjYCajkWLk_5tUxIWpwR7sn-xQU2EyJyPHqYt8gDPy8SMuwyQa5z_T8-xKo4-MEyZhsJ9iiemU8e_S4A/s320/IMG_2491.JPG" /></a></div> I had this little frame in my stash. I love when that happens. Next is a design I bought at celebrations. It was a special from Rosewood Manor just for Celebrations called Afternoon Tea. It came with the fabric and wonderful silks. It was packaged with the tea cup. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNTdi_T5ZLRLzH_FfR-_UTkeSRrz70WlC60ln-2gaJhc2_oBGg2pkgm9Ebgsoq3EbmBkgfD3ul6e0mb3VZHpWry_6kCOemfee33OBAvkvNjU22yVSetwOzEbcr-E5dhqLQoWyTQjELE-A/s1600/IMG_2471.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNTdi_T5ZLRLzH_FfR-_UTkeSRrz70WlC60ln-2gaJhc2_oBGg2pkgm9Ebgsoq3EbmBkgfD3ul6e0mb3VZHpWry_6kCOemfee33OBAvkvNjU22yVSetwOzEbcr-E5dhqLQoWyTQjELE-A/s320/IMG_2471.JPG" /></a></div> I picked a simple white china cup. Just lovely. Next up is My Little Sampler by La D Da. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqyL6WKEFqvg0BJYBHPVd_5WhHo2uEaytrpupcN_64Q2uTHvgE8C5VDRbtGS-POJXzel3Y0N8G7ta26wXkMIvPjTADWtRhgtKYyZLvwZm9jMes3EKY9OP0PYtxWxVEkf3nQf1v8a6_W1c/s1600/IMG_2472.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqyL6WKEFqvg0BJYBHPVd_5WhHo2uEaytrpupcN_64Q2uTHvgE8C5VDRbtGS-POJXzel3Y0N8G7ta26wXkMIvPjTADWtRhgtKYyZLvwZm9jMes3EKY9OP0PYtxWxVEkf3nQf1v8a6_W1c/s320/IMG_2472.JPG" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTGzrwpaPlMc7rpsZXH99SpNNrBzspG6Khmut758qVDZO5_irmGkJQeKR6LkC90rewJG3ZcP78shRClif8e-Rtkq7PbC3z_yZLK2SC8dgYHGHx30BUPFgCWX-UQP9dXI4BsgaIQWiP9Zc/s1600/IMG_2473.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTGzrwpaPlMc7rpsZXH99SpNNrBzspG6Khmut758qVDZO5_irmGkJQeKR6LkC90rewJG3ZcP78shRClif8e-Rtkq7PbC3z_yZLK2SC8dgYHGHx30BUPFgCWX-UQP9dXI4BsgaIQWiP9Zc/s320/IMG_2473.JPG" /></a></div> I used 36 ct mystery fabric and NPS silks. Framed in a simple black frame. I have joined some of the prim clubs. The next design is from the Little Stitches Handwork Club by Notforgotten Farm. This is Strawberry Basket. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7oWdhTs96kr6fBFXhl-TFBfA_O_w9CcPHBnuWc7sl9AxxjUYFRol7OVJ27ppQ1Cx6dBCNAT-_BBvK2Fc3vTMBDwkgCI1bcrWitjuTZS7-h68xaGojK88lPEf3g3-F-es9wlh1NIYBhfU/s1600/IMG_2465.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7oWdhTs96kr6fBFXhl-TFBfA_O_w9CcPHBnuWc7sl9AxxjUYFRol7OVJ27ppQ1Cx6dBCNAT-_BBvK2Fc3vTMBDwkgCI1bcrWitjuTZS7-h68xaGojK88lPEf3g3-F-es9wlh1NIYBhfU/s320/IMG_2465.JPG" /></a></div> The fabric is not pink. It has been raining almost daily here and I couldn't get a good picture. It's a 30 ct fabric that is a beige color. Thanks to Peggy Lee I used Distress It on the piece and i fell in love with the stuff. It makes the piece look so old. My friend, Nataly, made the strawberry. It was the first time she did one and it is perfect. Thanks, Nataly! Next is The Bee Skep by BBD. This is a sweet design. I used 36 ct strawflower linen and GA fibers. The frame is a cherry color. It goes well with the piece. You will note that I forgot to do the bees in the design. Oh well. I still love it. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1Dg5pJyEUHqWXtcP7_s5U_Ggfu8XmjDUD-ckI-4xM0sD-f_AuwUQK0tG-WJQ6aBPNKkVo2vNRFP3ksHLnHJcSrV9AqZ752Q-CFAF5R2W2svXcPgxwVWbCj2sJqk8J2c_sdvD8MCM2KvM/s1600/IMG_2497.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1Dg5pJyEUHqWXtcP7_s5U_Ggfu8XmjDUD-ckI-4xM0sD-f_AuwUQK0tG-WJQ6aBPNKkVo2vNRFP3ksHLnHJcSrV9AqZ752Q-CFAF5R2W2svXcPgxwVWbCj2sJqk8J2c_sdvD8MCM2KvM/s320/IMG_2497.JPG" /></a></div> One of the other clubs I joined is the Seasons of Chessie and Me club. I adore her designs and couldn't wait to do the first design. It's called Days of Liberty. The kit came with everything including felt and a beautiful hornbook. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKqsfU3yyGvtOq0SzYZuxabL5AQvm4HyXEarm2NJmO7nVOPsAwmRviEOrKfOAQiHORlmr-1KO29rdv8Vogap4i6J8m_kVW4qFUhCKh8Zvgm6zlw4JkEaDF6K6lxgdtRSFdF_BQbCiLXKE/s1600/IMG_2494.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKqsfU3yyGvtOq0SzYZuxabL5AQvm4HyXEarm2NJmO7nVOPsAwmRviEOrKfOAQiHORlmr-1KO29rdv8Vogap4i6J8m_kVW4qFUhCKh8Zvgm6zlw4JkEaDF6K6lxgdtRSFdF_BQbCiLXKE/s320/IMG_2494.JPG" /></a></div> I will post a picture of the piece after it's finished on the hornbook. Lastly, is a new design by WTN called The Sewing Bird. So cute. It will be finished into a little pillow. I used 36 ct exampler fabric withe called for GA and Wks fibers. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqd0Cf2IMb7RnjQopJh5ILb-yBkHZj0a3hvCmTggnjWRDUzHzZshksG4f543O4LayxDZuM5bStJ42bGHncnOErBVyko1JJRFr_-4oQafL4kCP8CIH5tOdC-h4vW5F0xKRESzcMQd4oZBs/s1600/IMG_2495.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqd0Cf2IMb7RnjQopJh5ILb-yBkHZj0a3hvCmTggnjWRDUzHzZshksG4f543O4LayxDZuM5bStJ42bGHncnOErBVyko1JJRFr_-4oQafL4kCP8CIH5tOdC-h4vW5F0xKRESzcMQd4oZBs/s320/IMG_2495.JPG" /></a></div> This post is long enough, so I will close for now. They mean so much to me. Before I get into my stitching I would like to say a few words about Boston and the wonderful people who live here. I was born in Boston, went to college in Boston and worked in Boston for a time. I now live on the Southshore. Boston is a kinda large city with a small town feel. When it was attacked last week my heart was heavy until I saw all the wonderful first responders, medical personnel, runners and viewers run toward the blasts to help however they could. I couldn't be prouder of the people and the city of Boston. Now that the bombers have been killed and captured, the city and state can start to heal. Please say a prayer for the lives lost and the 178 people who were injured. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnj9GgTrPZCvUtlo7Tv0yZUH9M_kRT8rQojFj-5zWsS4J0_N9bSGxRpgQYaAjicjg9MHzZIAx0v2FzA9ARM8OjIK0FyizjAS_fy2Sr3C7Td9QliDTpJuPtz2BBc1A153c-v-aOGsYKcPI/s1600/IMG_2441.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnj9GgTrPZCvUtlo7Tv0yZUH9M_kRT8rQojFj-5zWsS4J0_N9bSGxRpgQYaAjicjg9MHzZIAx0v2FzA9ARM8OjIK0FyizjAS_fy2Sr3C7Td9QliDTpJuPtz2BBc1A153c-v-aOGsYKcPI/s320/IMG_2441.JPG" /></a> This is the Nantucket Girls Song by PPS. This is going to be a BAP. When finished on 36 ct fabric it will be 24 " x 14". I am about 3/4 of the way though. I am enjoying stitching this piece. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2G4hIThPc4ezoakoDf2bd8fJSTMnYfCTMS0uwbKHZEmIbW_BGSlbPM4lt7w5YJ849sdzcwCGa-nQBBvaANhZC3r_DN8yhulc-iGIhyPud_D3IJYbnvFCTMbq5lMjcZ4rbEO1hurTcv7M/s1600/IMG_2440.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2G4hIThPc4ezoakoDf2bd8fJSTMnYfCTMS0uwbKHZEmIbW_BGSlbPM4lt7w5YJ849sdzcwCGa-nQBBvaANhZC3r_DN8yhulc-iGIhyPud_D3IJYbnvFCTMbq5lMjcZ4rbEO1hurTcv7M/s320/IMG_2440.JPG" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfYG5IiYsFFLK2jlgOh5iFOWR97Bjolp1JaIlQhzGbKB8yT_-gUZ0pIuTSfVVcJdj6mBNErhRwbwpk3YkQUsxweLFCOKsC1VoSakmsUMBySqF80Qv__IKvUZerFQEttaAE1jrkKS45W1k/s1600/IMG_2438.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfYG5IiYsFFLK2jlgOh5iFOWR97Bjolp1JaIlQhzGbKB8yT_-gUZ0pIuTSfVVcJdj6mBNErhRwbwpk3YkQUsxweLFCOKsC1VoSakmsUMBySqF80Qv__IKvUZerFQEttaAE1jrkKS45W1k/s320/IMG_2438.JPG" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgD3LkePdxELsgjgqjKwcBv8MnsvYHKBsynWzjbyO44_S6asiKuNu_IESstHU-8Bsd86alOqA3OtBNZYfQQYmO1f1JkpuWM31e1FXaeSLRU6kG6ValXCw9uKslb99WVG7MIZPgfHLzHWkY/s1600/IMG_2439.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgD3LkePdxELsgjgqjKwcBv8MnsvYHKBsynWzjbyO44_S6asiKuNu_IESstHU-8Bsd86alOqA3OtBNZYfQQYmO1f1JkpuWM31e1FXaeSLRU6kG6ValXCw9uKslb99WVG7MIZPgfHLzHWkY/s320/IMG_2439.JPG" /></a> These are the 3 sections I have done so far. Section 3 isn't finished yet. I love the nest in section 2. I am not sure why there is a windmill in the design. Eliza is vain. She is always looking at herself and combing her very strange hair. Sorry about the bad pics. I tried to take them outside but it was wicked windy. You can click on any of the pics for a larger view. I will be back soon. I have a wonderful win from Fiona in Australia to show you and a couple of flower frogs that I recently picked up. Until next time .... Happy Stitching! I don't know where the time went. It's been very busy around here. Spending quality time with friends lunching and shopping. I have rediscovered Home Goods. Such fun. Took a trip to the western part of the state for some cross stitch. It's nice to see and feel the products. Started the dreaded spring cleaning. Have so much more to do. I always manage to get some stitching time in. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdufYICbggs7BVyVyRJFqRd12t_HS6hwSU-O6LK9N1gPaJM6QfOXneb9DfNghmSOAmB5_0CFO29QF6uysAM4oDltc9zpKAQlGePsfT62lBZqYIMW0Pkgj-cvbrdJ3attp1qV0avyCD-m4/s1600/IMG_2430.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdufYICbggs7BVyVyRJFqRd12t_HS6hwSU-O6LK9N1gPaJM6QfOXneb9DfNghmSOAmB5_0CFO29QF6uysAM4oDltc9zpKAQlGePsfT62lBZqYIMW0Pkgj-cvbrdJ3attp1qV0avyCD-m4/s320/IMG_2430.JPG" /></a> I finished the September Word Play. I may have one more to do. I can't seem to find July. Don't you hate that. Next up was Strawberry Bird by Kathy Barrick. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQmXSZFCb1MYFdOq_-rTvinThcMX11AcyNOO7xFR1zP721gmF5WLJJAOzSTZGzd8_yNWPwPvfHBWc1mwvSyo1NOfjBxmn2M6UUTNIGDJPGZzzyA_M9czHL6scDTbNn1K7fnXV8mHwp7d0/s1600/IMG_2422.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQmXSZFCb1MYFdOq_-rTvinThcMX11AcyNOO7xFR1zP721gmF5WLJJAOzSTZGzd8_yNWPwPvfHBWc1mwvSyo1NOfjBxmn2M6UUTNIGDJPGZzzyA_M9czHL6scDTbNn1K7fnXV8mHwp7d0/s320/IMG_2422.JPG" /></a> I loved this piece the moment I saw it. Couldn't wait to get it done. I used 32 ct. v. pearled barley linen and the suggested NPI silks. This piece was much smaller than the picture suggested. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqACqfwwT1dF8ZSaCbaHuKQMHaTXxdAxv010F5HDpMebXuw21RmcvwA4XHAMSLM7l4jvSOrqicbztyG3zvisced4AGPZ7P2UornsBVK6cinvZZUX3wu580fTdkzovxN997rGoT2vVVpq0/s1600/IMG_2424.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqACqfwwT1dF8ZSaCbaHuKQMHaTXxdAxv010F5HDpMebXuw21RmcvwA4XHAMSLM7l4jvSOrqicbztyG3zvisced4AGPZ7P2UornsBVK6cinvZZUX3wu580fTdkzovxN997rGoT2vVVpq0/s320/IMG_2424.JPG" /></a> This is the frame I chose. The picture is funky and so is the frame. I couldn't be happier with the final product. Next up is Three Tulips by WTN. I used 36 ct homespun linen and the suggested over-dyed fibers. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh74pMTPHRa7qmdzjYF-Redd9MXSnOmr1jLFgHexQzzTM_sf_T7C0yB6dstf3jIgPeImErEUrNODpbSbhkCB_0UzGTWteg0axOQrqU7LH2PlARiaKYnrhIt_FJQF3ROHSW3qq8B9iQIAUA/s1600/IMG_2432.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh74pMTPHRa7qmdzjYF-Redd9MXSnOmr1jLFgHexQzzTM_sf_T7C0yB6dstf3jIgPeImErEUrNODpbSbhkCB_0UzGTWteg0axOQrqU7LH2PlARiaKYnrhIt_FJQF3ROHSW3qq8B9iQIAUA/s320/IMG_2432.JPG" /></a> Even on 36 ct fabric this piece is large. 14 by 10. I think it will be made into a pillow. It is very Springy and happy. Now I am working on The Nantucket Girls by PPS. I am using 36 ct v butter cream fabric and the suggested NPI silks. This is a large piece. It will be 24 by 14 when finished. I am enjoying every stitch. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYfiB3zz2oWxGUlf8F5zBGL58eEy_8pyJug3c48g-2PM_IIFV10v3tZ2oRpkZ0mQ_nFRVeV1MzBorxZHCz4KGH2R7wcvhHG9wcMAxZ3ABRyRl4x4FywEc0_0swmoCbPz_nM_A5u0gQHG0/s1600/IMG_2431.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYfiB3zz2oWxGUlf8F5zBGL58eEy_8pyJug3c48g-2PM_IIFV10v3tZ2oRpkZ0mQ_nFRVeV1MzBorxZHCz4KGH2R7wcvhHG9wcMAxZ3ABRyRl4x4FywEc0_0swmoCbPz_nM_A5u0gQHG0/s320/IMG_2431.JPG" /></a> Sorry for the dark pictures. You can click on any of the pics for a larger view. I want to thank every one for the wonderful comments on my last post. I am so thankful that you are all staying with me. Until next time ...... Happy Stitching! I am not that imaginative. I have been stitching seasonal or monthly things for years. What I noticed is that that I haven't finished them all. Hence, the title. I have done 3 of the LK seasonal alphabets and needed to do summer. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU2yh94RI2aeerSJFD-wa1K7HNPMmuHHlXoEmpkJzYDka0MjVYUUT5UtGFz2qHifgj1VrTBW1edFoIQb0eFfTMsXW9_gq3mZQFnfwNEhyphenhyphenmooq-OoPJc6xI8jJE0pUUQlzqC9LQV-Rahwo/s1600/IMG_2403.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU2yh94RI2aeerSJFD-wa1K7HNPMmuHHlXoEmpkJzYDka0MjVYUUT5UtGFz2qHifgj1VrTBW1edFoIQb0eFfTMsXW9_gq3mZQFnfwNEhyphenhyphenmooq-OoPJc6xI8jJE0pUUQlzqC9LQV-Rahwo/s320/IMG_2403.JPG" /></a> Now summer is done. It will go into an in and out frame. The colors are cheerful. My tastes have changed and I may give the whole series to a friend for her birthday. Next up was March by the DT. I have done all of them except March. I couldn't find a fabric that I liked until LSL added flagstone last month. The fabric is a beautiful gray with a hint of blue. So pretty. These will also go into a in and out frame. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp80xsOFmddSLgD4VbnGSBwej4d6d-RM8xZJar1C7wRkk2VqcYmv861Gd04TCGecmoNm2fXAyxQvpaLsQqv-MHNzvul2omvDpNF4aV8pqYqokKvrbLJiLlqgK94zKu1efNMm4-09w414M/s1600/IMG_2402.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp80xsOFmddSLgD4VbnGSBwej4d6d-RM8xZJar1C7wRkk2VqcYmv861Gd04TCGecmoNm2fXAyxQvpaLsQqv-MHNzvul2omvDpNF4aV8pqYqokKvrbLJiLlqgK94zKu1efNMm4-09w414M/s320/IMG_2402.JPG" /></a> Love the shamrock leaves on the trees. Then on to my last two wordplays by WTN. I needed to do August and September. They will be made into door hangers. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWeqT-Xt3d5qgrajplLDfY6h_Vuwm8wWiP2yMkqY5uM1_Yj6ESZNEN0wlpVO-omFK3kxCzHsVZPW-lW1F30F7ff0qW1C6WwdUUdr3NoRe_EKQDnr1a4myTfHwRBGngq1fAhTrkNSWWOFQ/s1600/IMG_2409.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWeqT-Xt3d5qgrajplLDfY6h_Vuwm8wWiP2yMkqY5uM1_Yj6ESZNEN0wlpVO-omFK3kxCzHsVZPW-lW1F30F7ff0qW1C6WwdUUdr3NoRe_EKQDnr1a4myTfHwRBGngq1fAhTrkNSWWOFQ/s320/IMG_2409.JPG" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisVBy4HHPPe8A8GDOdZ2fWWB0R5ulFr-pIYh8_vMnnDBNyXO6DXxe4r8jc2ae_SCNkO8TqRFQ6zupKQBZdNZ6y0SGEyz7AmB4xnD0Sq3bcNiIR1MtTvRfW70imn-jJIX3dc-6NvTIweI0/s1600/IMG_2410.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisVBy4HHPPe8A8GDOdZ2fWWB0R5ulFr-pIYh8_vMnnDBNyXO6DXxe4r8jc2ae_SCNkO8TqRFQ6zupKQBZdNZ6y0SGEyz7AmB4xnD0Sq3bcNiIR1MtTvRfW70imn-jJIX3dc-6NvTIweI0/s320/IMG_2410.JPG" /></a> I still have 3 PS monthly designs to do but I will get to them later. I want to do 2 small St. Patrick ornaments for my bowl. Then it will be on to some of the beautiful new things from Nashville. I love the Stacy Nash design, some of the WTN designs and Strawberry Bird by Kathy Barrick. I have ordered the NPI's for it. Can't wait for them to arrive. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK2e3RHfthtd3xiVbuY89RoYyA7DoB2j5Zs7bDmRuFJ1sciN1bdX5LShFeY9SpzzucSuyZVfMRcnKq4lCUsQSEEma15Jn29dMHxxEgwaL7emxg8Dn1L902anG286qnYE6m5-u0ZvNtvPA/s1600/IMG_2153.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK2e3RHfthtd3xiVbuY89RoYyA7DoB2j5Zs7bDmRuFJ1sciN1bdX5LShFeY9SpzzucSuyZVfMRcnKq4lCUsQSEEma15Jn29dMHxxEgwaL7emxg8Dn1L902anG286qnYE6m5-u0ZvNtvPA/s320/IMG_2153.JPG" /></a> I will end with a picture of Stella helping me make the bed. lol We will be getting the storm that so many of you have just gone through. Remember the mild winter we had last year? Maybe next year. Until next time .... Happy Stitching! The blizzard dumped over 2 feet of snow, left my area without power for 5 days and left a lot of devistation in her wake. I lost many trees in the back yard and two beautiful Christmas type pines in the front. Thankfully none of the trees fell on the house. This past week end we got another 6 inches of snow. I love snow but I have had enough for the year. On to the stitching, which is why we are all here. I went to the framers just before the blizzard and picked up Nantucket. I love this piece. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijKX9th5QYZHfihXKMNAfRCjTquOidqOLvibd2fhawrXp6P8g6yCQyaTFVBwHPjIr_0Vfj2z3NWHnxl07sB5yL2yut4GWEbM8-1tn2D8aLym79e1H0L-EPK2vkf-QAXIl35yX7Qc6ntNQ/s1600/IMG_2381.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijKX9th5QYZHfihXKMNAfRCjTquOidqOLvibd2fhawrXp6P8g6yCQyaTFVBwHPjIr_0Vfj2z3NWHnxl07sB5yL2yut4GWEbM8-1tn2D8aLym79e1H0L-EPK2vkf-QAXIl35yX7Qc6ntNQ/s320/IMG_2381.JPG" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgryEyIDACMicxs2Rxf054DHrTXUEa9xBQ87_xAhSTCW_uzZ8MKnxfSVlIH3krXg08wKdAQm2yN0GTC1Mtt9VDrkMTLT_w8CbtodVt8jgN8yS8g5D9KhMVPV63QBV3BCH0GNNS5HXX7rvE/s1600/IMG_2377.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgryEyIDACMicxs2Rxf054DHrTXUEa9xBQ87_xAhSTCW_uzZ8MKnxfSVlIH3krXg08wKdAQm2yN0GTC1Mtt9VDrkMTLT_w8CbtodVt8jgN8yS8g5D9KhMVPV63QBV3BCH0GNNS5HXX7rvE/s320/IMG_2377.JPG" /></a> The frame is beautiful. Reminds me of drift wood. It isn't as blue as the picture would suggest. It's a gray blue color. Goes perfectly with the design. I have had many questions about the color of the house, yes I changed the color. I didn't have 2 of the called for color and changed it to King Mackerel by WDW and instead of the Barrel Cactus I used DMC 927. I like the changes. <a hthx5EaJ8qF4/USMKuzGpuaI/AAAAAAAAC0Y/qDrp8dAVu_k/s1600/IMG_2378.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhifohEi-X35nTaVEs_aoN18oVyzkrK7ldtDodcxeMHzTOS2pAvUYU5XS99vzZb7jQRQiGMFY_82mVtwJrU0-heJNhbR0FsJ8B9COQoPYagT6sns0JbTjyoO6R41cnWoSs9P0qynah7FBg/s320/IMG_2378.JPG" /></a> Here are three of my MA pieces in the mudroom. I will just keep adding pieces that remind me of New England. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiToK8reiGQnnzCS4VB6Q25-wZ9RbtHa0ApeYq6jYhY_yVtc4C_box1evyjxwMQiv-K8-8pNGAB1vfbaCx6lQFNzXb6SfVZgGoMEK42kKkadA5Z7H4Ub8cQFb_0BxlyimFPgYKkiYnJSHA/s1600/IMG_2389.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiToK8reiGQnnzCS4VB6Q25-wZ9RbtHa0ApeYq6jYhY_yVtc4C_box1evyjxwMQiv-K8-8pNGAB1vfbaCx6lQFNzXb6SfVZgGoMEK42kKkadA5Z7H4Ub8cQFb_0BxlyimFPgYKkiYnJSHA/s320/IMG_2389.JPG" /></a> This is Blue Violets by BBD. I love BBD designs and have done many of them but I hate this piece. The violets aren't blue. They are all muddy purple in color. The floss they used for the stems and the vine are so close in color that you can't see a difference. The house is just plain homely. I am so unhappy with this design. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPX-ja2XKLK-7e8sGhZl4-22RgjkC1i392hiO4Pk8_sOTQuj-n_RUyAiBjy6w5hHhGX1DMWZuQLpmXPrsbnf-ouPTPGMoxQGKwx-g-7Ad5EOOKeCiDjCfj7wzv-kUmvclJwip6ckzRKUo/s1600/IMG_2388.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPX-ja2XKLK-7e8sGhZl4-22RgjkC1i392hiO4Pk8_sOTQuj-n_RUyAiBjy6w5hHhGX1DMWZuQLpmXPrsbnf-ouPTPGMoxQGKwx-g-7Ad5EOOKeCiDjCfj7wzv-kUmvclJwip6ckzRKUo/s320/IMG_2388.JPG" /></a> This is Red Cottage by PSS. This piece I am crazy for. It's done on 36 ct v strawflower and is about 6x6 in size. I think that I will make it into a pillow. Not 100% sure yet. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht4oCG3HTZeACG1kbWB3kOWU67N6Y9AGv_dKRcByEOILq7Y-uv2vfu-_e2F_Tdx3EBObbakC6EXMiJFAjSX0wVxWUZLbyM_2CMaJworGzt_6XMdtaF-3WuAmM_wJT_uouPs5GQRo6i9H8/s1600/IMG_2382.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht4oCG3HTZeACG1kbWB3kOWU67N6Y9AGv_dKRcByEOILq7Y-uv2vfu-_e2F_Tdx3EBObbakC6EXMiJFAjSX0wVxWUZLbyM_2CMaJworGzt_6XMdtaF-3WuAmM_wJT_uouPs5GQRo6i9H8/s320/IMG_2382.JPG" /></a> As I stitched this past week end while the snow fell, I had these beautiful daffodils to look at to remind me that Spring will be coming. Until next time ..... Happy Stitching! I appreciate them all. I have been busy doing Valentine pin pillows. I have had the best time doing them. Hopefully Cheryl and I can get together soon to sew them up.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is Be Mine by Threadwork Primitives. I used 36 ct examplar linen and the suggested DMC fibers.

These two are from The Primitive Hare's design called Little Valentines. All 5 of the designs are so nice. I will do the other 3 next year. They were done on 36 ct. LSL fabric (the name has left me) using SNC silk that I had in my stash. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is the pin cushion from WTN&T's new design called Valentine Sampler. Again, I really like all the designs in this chart. It was hard to pick just one. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

These are my Valentine decorations at the end of the kitchen table. Lots of cross stitch and I really love the pink depression glass candle holders I found thrifting. A close up of the bowl with the pin pillows that I have currently. I think I will have to get a larger bowl when I add the new pin pillows. You can click on any of the pictures for a larger view. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I also finished Nantucket by LHN. This was a delightful stitch. The colors are beautiful and I loved working on the 35 ct. cocoa linen. The color of the house is so pretty. Thanks for stopping by. Until next time ..... Happy Stitching! More on that at the end of the post. First up in the stitching part of the blog is J. M. Gardner in all her glory. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I really love how this piece turned out. The frame is the perfect match for the rust colors. I had a standy thing put on the back and it will reside on the table next to the couch. Next up is a Valentine piece by CYC. I had a frame in my stash that will fit really well. The design is called crazy love because she charted the L backwards. For people like me who aren't that crazy, she also charted the L going the right way. I used 32 ct. mystery fabric and the suggested DMC and SNC fibers. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I started Old Nantucket by LNH using 35 ct cocoa linen and the suggested wdw, cc and ga fibers. This is fairly large piece and I have a long way to go. It will work well in my Massachusetts mudroom. I love Nantucket and try to go over at least once a year.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Before I bagged my orts from 2012, I wanted to show all the pretty colors. In the Spring I leave them on the patio and the birds take them for their nests. In the fall you can find the nests with the floss in them. They are really very pretty. This is something I have done for many years. Now on to the reason for this post. One year ago on January 12, 2012, Jo and I took a long ride in terrible weather to meet Stella. She and her 5 siblings are Sato (street) dogs from Puerto Rico. 700 hundred Sato's were adopted last year. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0hIpu-KGVVwF2mdxYWFVAbtu_zkLp_3no_7USd3NZbgRI1IhyphenhyphenRyz7RBkwljOBPeopScrj5DDn7KppSlthjHLPZ8n1BP_3xS6qmualKN_acFOl0bA3F_RoD-RWndT0OiPJN-bjAeuhOJ8/s1600/IMG_1471.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="240" width="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0hIpu-KGVVwF2mdxYWFVAbtu_zkLp_3no_7USd3NZbgRI1IhyphenhyphenRyz7RBkwljOBPeopScrj5DDn7KppSlthjHLPZ8n1BP_3xS6qmualKN_acFOl0bA3F_RoD-RWndT0OiPJN-bjAeuhOJ8/s320/IMG_1471.JPG" /></a></div>
Stella then on the day we brought her home and Stella now. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It is a PS design stitched on 32 ct lambswool jobelan fabric and DMC floss. It turned pretty well. I changed one of the dogs to look more like Stella. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It is so much prettier than the picture. I have never seen an oval frog. It's about 7" long and the bottom is a beautiful purple glass. This was a total surprise because Joanne doesn't understand my <strike>obsession </strike> love for frogs and scissors. Speaking of scissors, I bought 2 wonderful pairs of Dovo's with gift certificates. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Love both pairs but the black ones are the best. My friend, Nataly, had this pair and I knew someday I would own them. They are called Tattoo because of the etching on outside and the inside of the blades. So beautiful! <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I will end of with a picture of Stella in her new coat. She is such a girly dog. She actually likes wearing it. Thanks to my new followers! Glad to have you along for the ride. Something had to give and I am afraid it was my blog. Things are slowing down and I will pay more attention. I do love reading all of your blogs and writing mine and I have missed doing both. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Mine was perfect. I did receive some stitchy items which I will share next time. I did some stitching this past month. I stitched Bear Tree Forest by LHN. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I used 32 ct V examplar by LSL and the suggested fibers. Below is a close up of the frame. I love this molding and have used it a couple of times. It's very woodsy. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Up next is my last finish of 2012! It's JM Gardner 1888 by WTNandT. I loved this piece. The colors are perfect for my family room. It worked up quickly and every stitch made me happy. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

She will look much better the next time you see her. I plan on taking her to my framer this week. I used 32 ct v. light examplar linen by LSL and the suggested fibers. I started January by PS today. I still have 3 more months left to do in this series. Hopefully they can be finished in 2013.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I will end with a picture of Stella. How cute is she? Digging in the dirt with her nose. She needs to learn to use her paws. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I received this picture as a mouse pad from Santa. Yes, I need a mouse pad. My computer is on a wicker desk that has glass on the top and the mouse doesn't work on glass. So, I get to look at Stella whenever I am on the computer.
I want to wish everyone A Happy New Year. Be safe. I will be home with Joanne and Stella eating Chinese food. Chinese food is a tradition that my husband and I started 39 years ago. It continues on. Until next time ...... Happy Stitching! The time has been jam packed. Thanksgiving was wonderful with family, friends and great food. The house is finally decorated. It took longer because I had to see what Stella would tolerate. I finally got into this century. I bought an Iphone and fell in love with it. Since I took that step, I thought that I would dive into Facebook. I know you are all ahead of me but I am slow with change. I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful comments. They mean the world to me. I received the nicest RAK from Angela at the craft room blog. She has a wonderful blog and you all should check her out. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Isn't this the prettiest ornie!? The back is just lovely, as well. It is hung high on the cross stitch tree out of Stella's reach. The card was made by her and is stunning! Thanks again, Andrea. I just love it. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Catherine and the Strawberry Sampler had a Pink giveaway for breast cancer awareness. I won this beautiful design and the floss to do it. I said if I won the any part of the giveaway I would give it to my friend, Kathy. She is coming up to her 5 year anniversary. She was thrilled to have the design and is currently working on it. Thanks Catherine and the Strawberry Sampler for having a wonderful giveaway. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The first 2 will be pillows and the rest will be ornaments. Hopefully, Cheryl and I will find some time next week to finish all of these and start making Christmas cookies. We have the best time baking and doing crafts for the holiday. Before I close, I want to wish my friends, Ellen and Nataly a great Chanukah. Until next time ..... Happy Stitching! I just don't know where the time goes. It's been busy here. I have the Christmas shopping done, not wrapped but bought. The yard is finally cleaned up for the fall. Cleaned some closets. I really hate to do them. The thing is that I finished is the Feast of Friendship by BBD and had it framed. Yeah!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I am in love with this finish. The only thing that I might have changed is the color of the house. They used 3 different colors for it. I probably would have used just one. The frame is gorgeous. I think it is perfect for the piece. The pictures really don't do the piece justice. It's dark here and I had to take the pictures inside. Nine of us from my Wednesday stitching group went on a road trip last Saturday. We went to Bush Mountain Stitchery in N. Brookfield, MA. It's about a 2hr ride each way. We had a wonderful time. I didn't need anything but managed to pick up some designs I have wanted to do. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I love Carriage House designs and was glad to see that she back and designing again. After our lunch in Sturbrige, MA we did some shopping. Went to a quilt store and a primitive style gift store called The Handmaiden's Mercantile. What a great store. Everyone bought something there. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I just love the Pilgrim riding the turkey. These were a few of my favorites. I want to wish everyone in the U.S. a Blessed Thanksgiving. I hope your holiday is filled with family and wonderful food. Until next time .... Happy Stitching! The house is standing,as well, as the trees. Many branches down and lost power for less than a day. My friends and relatives on Staten Island and long Island fared okay. They don't live on the coast of the islands. They had some wind damage and lost power for afew days. Compared to folks they know on the coast, they were very lucky. My thoughts and prayers go out to all everyone that lost so much. The east coast is due for another big storm Wednesday and Thursday. Those folks really don't need anymore. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The frame isn't as orange as the picture suggests. It's a warm brown. I have been working on Feast of Friendship by BBD. I am using 32ct. v buttercream LSL and the suggested GA fibers. I am loving this piece. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

You can click on any of the pictures for a larger view. I took the picture in the house at night, so the colors are not showing as nice as they really are. Hopefully, I will be able to finish it this week. I would like to have it hanging up by Thanksgiving. I was reading blogs and saw that Joanne Fabrics had a new Gingher pattern. Off I went Sunday morning to find a pair and I was lucky to find Jennifer. Isn't she pretty? <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Before I close I want to thank everyone for stopping by and leaving the greatest comments. Thank so much. Until next time ..... Happy Stitching. Just the beginning of Sandy. We spent the day getting ready for the storm. Took in the patio furniture, potted plants and anything else that could go flying. Did some cooking ahead, in case we can't use the stove. Just hoping that trees don't come crashing down on the house. As for the stitching, I started something new. Day after my last post this wonderful design arrived in the mail. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I love Japanese Lanterns. I have a friend who grew them and surprised me with a bouquet. They are so bright and fallish. I will end with a picture of Stella. She is a year old and quite the big girl. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I hope everyone on the east coast stays safe and sound. I have family on Long Island and Staten Island and my prayers are with them. They are going to be hit very hard. I know that we will lose power, so I don't know when I will be back. Until then, thanks for visiting my blog. I love the comments. They mean so much. Until next time ..... Happy Stitching! Deborah

Thanks everyone for all the great comments. I appreciate them all. I am thankful for all who stop by and read my blog. It has been a wonderful fall season in MA. The colors on the trees is spectacular this year. I spent some time last week in Ocean City, MD at the Salty Yarn retreat. More on that in a while. I stitched 7 Halloween ornaments and a pillow that Vonna, of the twisted stitcher fame, finished for me. Her finishing is wonderful. I asked her to do what ever she wanted and she did not disappoint me. Vonna, thanks so much! <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I can't pick a favorite. I love them all. You can click on any of the pictures for a better view. I finished Baby It's Cold Outside and I really love it. This piece I started in Ocean City. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

When I finished that piece, I went back to Chritmastide. I couldn't do that piece while I was away because I knew I would be frogging big time. Here is my progress to date. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

A close up of the frame. I have used this molding before and I really like the rustic look of it. I went to Ocean City and had a great 3 days. It was busy retreat. We had 3 teachers. Belinda from Blue Ribbon Designs, Theresa from Shakespears Peddler and Donna from By The Bay. All the projects were fun and different. I wasn't able to get a picture of Donna's project. It is a wool bag and she taught us stump work. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is Belinda's design. She is known for doing a large project and then taking some of the motifs to make some smalls. We started on the ort box. Is't it the cutest?!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Next up is Theresa's project. She wanted us to make a pin cushion by hand channeling our inner child. It as a fun quick project. They can be tailored to the person you are making it for.
I will end with a few shots of Ocean City. We stayed at the Lankford Hotel and Salty Yarns is connected to the hotel. They have a wonderful shop that is really stocked with all kinds of stitchy goodness. I did get some stash, of course. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The weather was warm. Ellen and I had breakfast outside on the boardwalk the day we left. Does it get better in October than that.
It has been another lonnng post and thanks for sticking with me. Until next time .... Happy Stitching! Deborah

The comments you leave mean the so much to me. It was a busy week here in Southern MA. I finished Plaid House by LHN. I used the natural linen called for and I must say I don't really care it. The piece looks good but the fabric wasn't fun to work with. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I did this piece last year. It's from Just Cross Magazine. I know that Paulette from PSS designed it. I just love the whimsy of it. Thought I would show somee Halloween finishes from years past. They are all hanging currently. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The weather is finally cooler. We are getting a lot of welcome rain. The leaves are turning beautiful colors. The mums and pumpkins are out front. It's my favorite time of the year. Because of the rain, I have managed to stitch a lot. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I started Winter Plaid House by LHN. I am doing it on natural linen using some of the called for fibers. I changed the red and the green for what I think are more winter appropriate. Cheryl and I have been thrifting during the summer. I picked up this beauty for under 10.00. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Some stitching has got done but not as much as I would like. I did 6 Halloween ornaments which I will show you after the have been finished. I am sending them to my blogging buddy Vonna to finish. She will do them do them a lot more justice than I would. I did pick up 2 pieces from my framer. Please excuse the photo of the first piece. The glare from the glass was terrible. You can click on any of the pictures for a larger view. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

A soft white flower frog. It was labeled to look like coral. I don't know about that but I sure love it. I will end with a picture of Stella. She is such a Diva -- she doesn't like to sit on anything that isn't soft. The picture is her sitting on Jo's feet under the kitchen table.

I hope all of you in the US had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend. Mine was just how I wanted it to be. Quiet! The weather was perfect. Did some errands, lots of stitching, walked with Stella, did some yard work and had turkey burgers. Just about a perfect holiday. I finished Ghoul by PSS. Love it. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Have I mentioned how much I enjoy stitching Paulette's designs? I used 32 ct v. examplar LSL and the suggested NPI and Belle Soie silk. The silks are beautiful. This one will go to the framer. I loved this dresser scarf. It isn't orange , as the picture suggests. It's just the lamp light. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

See, it is a cream color. I got one for both dressers. They were a bargain, $12.00 for both. You can click on any of the pictures for a larger view. I will end with a picture of my girl, Stella. She is getting so big. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I threw some clothes just out of the dryer on the bed and she just had to get on the warm towels.

They mean a lot to me. I see I have some new followers, welcome. I hope I can keep your interest. I wanted cooler weather and we were blessed here in Southern Massachusetts. The weather has been wonderful. It has kept me stitching Halloween designs. First up is Hilda's Alphabet Brew by WTN&T. I used 32 ct cream fabric and will finish it into a pillow. I did buy some of the ticking fabric. Please excuse the wrinkles. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The fabric is 32 ct. V. Meadow Rue by LSL. The color is darker than the picture shows and I am using the called for NPI's. Isn't the angel just the best? So pretty. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I picked up Autumn on Marigold Lane by Pineberry Lane from the framers today. I am crazy about this finish. I was so excited about how it turned out that I drove to Cheryl's house to show her. It worked out for me because we ended up going to lunch. Great cross stitch, good food, good friends, good day. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The frame is very wide and old looking. It has gold in it and little bits of the orange in it. I was pleased to be able to use this molding because it was discontinued but Mark, my framer, had just enough.
Blogger has decided that I have posted enough pictures for today so I will have to show you my wonderful win from Vinniey next time. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. Until next time ....... Happy Stitching! Summer is not my season. I have decided that I need to stitch Fall designs.
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN-aE5EkDfKeqLA4ze6PlBNOcLJez_pAjBkorfkZkS6OIVKslB9IHelDgLxYU2eOYgb19qiE7aixVrLJKgNA1MlkjG3KDhprmbHXABxPURAKa9U7zNVwTZdZ7qeA0di5dmqCHtY4Yc9GU/s1600/IMG_2000.JPG" imageanchor="1" style=""><img border="0" height="320" width="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN-aE5EkDfKeqLA4ze6PlBNOcLJez_pAjBkorfkZkS6OIVKslB9IHelDgLxYU2eOYgb19qiE7aixVrLJKgNA1MlkjG3KDhprmbHXABxPURAKa9U7zNVwTZdZ7qeA0di5dmqCHtY4Yc9GU/s320/IMG_2000.JPG" /></a>
I had Autumn Alphabet stretched and put in an in and out frame. Love the colors.

After Autumn Band sampler was stretched, it also went into an in and out frame.

Halloweenies is my favorite of all of these pieces. I just love Paulette's designs.

I think that the frame is perfect for the design. Next up is Autumn on Marigold Lane.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I think that this will probably be framed. It was a fun stitch that worked up quickly. I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. This was a big BD ..... 60! I wondered if I would feel different with this BD and I am glad to say that I don't. Yeah!! lol. I went to New Hampshire and Vermont with friends for a few days. I was treated like a queen. Stayed in a beautiful B&B, ate some wonderful food, shopped and saw some gorgeous scenery. I was a wonderful way to spend my birthday.
