A Few Good Things

I won a great giveaway from October Farm blog. My other passion is cooking. October Farm is a wonderful blog that has great recipes. The basket I won is full of dip mixes, cookies and alot of chocolate. The cookies and the chocolate are from all over the world and really quite delicious. Thanks alot for the wonderful goodies.
Snow Garden was stretched and put into my pop it in and out frame. I like it better now. I have been asked about the frame. Below is a picture. I just move the clips and slide the pictures in and out. These types of frames work out great for series that are the same size. I store the pieces that aren't in the frame in plastic bags in a container.

This is daffodils in another in and out frame. February is in the same frame below. I love this series by PS.
I am almost finished with April, which is my favorite so far.
I spent the day with Cheryl. Instead of getting ready for another 12-16 inches of snow, we decided to go looking for flower frogs. And find them we did! I will save those wonderful finds until my next post. I have really enjoyed seeing all the great projects in the 15 challenge. I have added many of them to my wish list. Keep up the great work all of you. I hope everyone in the south and mid-west has fared well during this storm. My Dad retired to SC from Chicago to get away from this weather and he had 6 inches and alot of ice. They are still snow bound. I plan on sitting next to the fire and stitching during the next day or so. Thanks for visiting and leaving great comments. I appreciate them all. Until next time....Happy Stitching! Deborah

Congratulations on your win.
I love those PS monthly verses, I remember the poem from when I was a child, except for the February verse, which I'm sure is totaly different though I can't remember what it used to be. I'm going to have to google it

I love those kinds of frames too. Such an easy method of insertion. And all your pieces look lovely in them.. just the right size.

Congrats on your winnings. Enjoy them in this cold January!

All pieces are so pretty. Love how you use your frames for a series of pieces, great idea.

Your stitching is quite lovely. I have two sets of frames like that--it saves me $ to buy more stash! One is for LK Living with Charm series and the other is LHN monthlies from last year. I am on April! I may stay ahead of it this year! Just as an aside, it is recommended that you NOT store over-dyed or hand-dyed fabrics in ziploc bags. A chemical reaction occurs that can ruin the finished piece. Mine are either in a closet on a shelf or in a drawer. Stay warm! Hugs.

Deborah, you are a MACHINE! Look at you go! I just love the idea of the pop in/out frame. So practical and affordable.

Congrats on your win! Looks like a nice bunch of goodies there :o)

Oooh--nothing like a yummy food giveaway win! Congratulations, Deborah! Your BBD and PS pieces look wonderful and I'm another who uses the same frame for seasonal stitchings--it is such a wonderful money saver, isn't it?

We are in the midst of a winter storm here in PA--schools are closed and it is very blizzardy. Glad I can just stay inside and stitch and cook today :) Stay warm and toasty up there!

I love flower frogs but the prices have gone up far too high lately. I have one full of part of my scissor collection. Love you PS stitching! You are on the ball with getting them done in time for each new month.

Did you get all the snow?

Hugs from Holland ~

Congrats on your giveaway win, it looks like a lovely basket of goodies. Your April design is looking great too, I love the little bunny in the top right hand corner. Stay warm and cosy in the snowy weather and happy stitching to you.

Congrats on your win!
I think someone else mentioned not storing hand dyed/overdyed linen in plastic bags - they are right. You can wrap them in acid-free tissue or just some plain cotton and put them in the bags, but don't seal the bags. This could be a case of 'do as I say, not as I do'. :)

What a nice basket of goodies you won. Your stitching is lovely as always. Do you get your frames with those tabs attached or do you get them and add them to the back yourself? It is a great idea.

Your PS finishes are fabulous! Sooner or later I'm going to give those pop out frames a try. I thinks they're a really great idea.
Your BBD finish is one that I just may have to add to my wish list!

Congrats on the win! I love your finish and the PS samplers in the in & out frame. Your WIP is beautiful!

I had to laugh at the comment about your dad and the snow. My husband dreams of moving to NC or SC when we move back to the US (I'm thinking of Colorado, or Delaware, so this should be interesting!) because, as he was telling the kids last night, they don't get any snow. WRONG!! He couldn't believe it when I told him about all my stitching blogging buddies who are home and stitching up a storm while it's snowing outside. Hope you're keeping warm, too!
