Halloween Anyone?

I want to thank everyone for the wonderful comments. They mean a lot to me. I see I have some new followers, welcome. I hope I can keep your interest. I wanted cooler weather and we were blessed here in Southern Massachusetts. The weather has been wonderful. It has kept me stitching Halloween designs. First up is Hilda's Alphabet Brew by WTN&T. I used 32 ct cream fabric and will finish it into a pillow. I did buy some of the ticking fabric. Please excuse the wrinkles.
I am currently working on Ghoul by PPS. I really love Paulette's designs.
The fabric is 32 ct. V. Meadow Rue by LSL. The color is darker than the picture shows and I am using the called for NPI's. Isn't the angel just the best? So pretty.
I picked up Autumn on Marigold Lane by Pineberry Lane from the framers today. I am crazy about this finish. I was so excited about how it turned out that I drove to Cheryl's house to show her. It worked out for me because we ended up going to lunch. Great cross stitch, good food, good friends, good day.
The frame is very wide and old looking. It has gold in it and little bits of the orange in it. I was pleased to be able to use this molding because it was discontinued but Mark, my framer, had just enough. Blogger has decided that I have posted enough pictures for today so I will have to show you my wonderful win from Vinniey next time. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. Until next time ....... Happy Stitching! Deborah

Is It Autumn Yet?

I am so tired of the hot and humid weather. Summer is not my season. I have decided that I need to stitch Fall designs. I had Autumn Alphabet stretched and put in an in and out frame. Love the colors. After Autumn Band sampler was stretched, it also went into an in and out frame. Halloweenies is my favorite of all of these pieces. I just love Paulette's designs. I think that the frame is perfect for the design. Next up is Autumn on Marigold Lane.
I think that this will probably be framed. It was a fun stitch that worked up quickly. I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. This was a big BD ..... 60! I wondered if I would feel different with this BD and I am glad to say that I don't. Yeah!! lol. I went to New Hampshire and Vermont with friends for a few days. I was treated like a queen. Stayed in a beautiful B&B, ate some wonderful food, shopped and saw some gorgeous scenery. I was a wonderful way to spend my birthday.
Again, I want to thank all of you for the great comments on my last post. I appreciate them all. Until the next time ...... Happy Stitching! Deborah

Long Overdue!

My summer has been so full this year and that is not normal for me. First up is some stitching. I finished Itty Bitty and I really like it. I haven't found a frame yet for it. I finished Lk Autumn Alphabet. It was a quick stitch. I am in a fall kinds mood. I also did LHN Autumn Band Sampler and PSS Halloweenies. I will show these on my next post because Halloweenies is getting framed and the band sampler is getting stretched. Now on to some of what has kept me busy. Cheryl and I have hit alot of antique and thrift stores. I have found some really great stuff. These are some of my favs. I was having a green day. Love the turtle frog, the small bowl and pitcher are in perfect condition and know live in my upstairs bathroom, the egg cup is holding the smallest frog I've ever seen. It's 1 & 1/2 inches across. So cute. I just love this old silverware carrier. I found some yarn quills with the tread still on them, a shuttle with the bobbin in it, some wooden spools with antique lace, some empty wooden spools. I will be putting lace on them. This coverlet is gorgeous! All hand done and fits on a twin bed. I put it on my wicker rocker. Can you believe it cost only $22.00? Wow. Have been going to fun places like this on the Cape. One of my oldest friends had a very big birthday in July. Lets just say it involved a 6 and a 0. lol I threw her a birthday party. A small gathering with great food and a beautiful cake. She is 3 weeks older than I am. I do give her a hard time about that. She is a wonderful person who has survived breast cancer and bypass surgery. I will close with this picture of the sky over my patio. The colors were stunning. Thanks for sticking with me during this really long post. Thanks for all the comments. I love and appreciate them. I will be back soon. Until next .... time Happy Stitching! Deborah
