Summer Time at Sandcastle Bay

Hope everyone had a great 4th! It was busy here with errands, yard work, good barbecue and some stitching. Finished Sandcastle Bay except for about 15 minutes of work on some straight stitches for birds in the sky, spouts from the whales, posts for the umbrellas and things like that. Forgive the pics. It's late and I just took the pictures.

This one and the one below are close ups. The fabric is a beautiful aqua color. You can click on any of the pictures for a larger view.

I see with this picture that I also have to do some flags on the edge. Oh, well.

This is my SAL piece that my Wednesday stitching group is doing. It's a seasonal sampler from the Just Cross Stitch magazine. It's so hard for me to work on this only on Wednesday. I am the only one in the group who isn't a serial starter. I work just one project at a time. Wonder what will happen to me? Things could change.

After I spend afew minutes on Sandcastle Bay, I am going to start Winifred Gardener. I won this from Libby at this little pig. She dyed the fabric and I love it. Can't wait to get going on this little gem.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my little place in the blogging world. I love all the feed back I get. It is very appreciated that you all take time to comment. Until next time....Happy Stitching! Deborah

I like your sandcastle. I too like to only work on one project at a time.

For some reason I have trouble posting on your blog! It won't let me leave a comment. But for some reason the God's were shining on me today. Yipee. I hope it keeps up letting me in.

I just love your Sandcastle Bay. It looks like it's such a fun stitch. And the seasonal sampler is lovely as well - I love the top border. And I really like your new project as well.

What wonderful stitching on Sandcastle Bay! It is the perfect piece to be stitching this summer!

I know just how you feel about wanting to finish one piece before you start something new. Recently I decided to start another piece while I have a second one partially completed. When I feel that I need a change of pace, it is kind of nice to just pick up the other one and work on it for a while.

I love how your Sandcastle Bay turned out. You really stitched that quickly! One good thing about not being a serial starter is that one thing at a time gets finished more quickly.
