Valentines
I want to thank everyone for taking the time to read my blog and for leaving the best comments. I appreciate them all. I have been busy doing Valentine pin pillows. I have had the best time doing them. Hopefully Cheryl and I can get together soon to sew them up.
This is Be Mine by Threadwork Primitives. I used 36 ct examplar linen and the suggested DMC fibers.
This little darling is To My Sweet by Stacy Nash. I did it on 32 ct pinkish fabric over one. Love it.
These two are from The Primitive Hare's design called Little Valentines. All 5 of the designs are so nice. I will do the other 3 next year. They were done on 36 ct. LSL fabric (the name has left me) using SNC silk that I had in my stash.
This is the pin cushion from WTN&T's new design called Valentine Sampler. Again, I really like all the designs in this chart. It was hard to pick just one.
These are my Valentine decorations at the end of the kitchen table. Lots of cross stitch and I really love the pink depression glass candle holders I found thrifting. A close up of the bowl with the pin pillows that I have currently. I think I will have to get a larger bowl when I add the new pin pillows. You can click on any of the pictures for a larger view.
I put Crazy Love by CEC in a frame that I had in my stash. Not perfect but not bad either.
I also finished Nantucket by LHN. This was a delightful stitch. The colors are beautiful and I loved working on the 35 ct. cocoa linen. The color of the house is so pretty. Thanks for stopping by. Until next time ..... Happy Stitching! Deborah

Deborah! They are all wonderful. I love the Nantucket Sampler too. I am very draen to the colors and the style of it. I think she really aptured New England in this design.

Wow Deborah, you go girl! Fantastic finishes and stitching. Lovely work!
Wow! Your Valentines all are so pretty!!
The Nantucket sampler is beautiful! Did to use the thead called for on the house? Just wondering, as I know some were saying that the called for color didn't match the picture on the cover.
Very nicely done! They all look wonderful! Look forward to seeing the new improved bowl! Hugs!
So many great finishes. Your little Valentine stitches are so pretty. I love things when they're done over one (don't like doing them too much though). I have to agree with you on loving all those designs by WTNT. I love how yours came out. And I love your bowl of little pillows. That's something that I want to try to do this year - some smalls so that I can put them out in a bowl.
Wow, so many great finishes! I love all the Valentines pieces -- and your display is just lovely! Love that LHN finish too -- beautiful! It's always a treat to see all of your work!
Beautiful finishes, and your Valentines decor is perfect! Great job all around.
So many beautiful Valentine finishes.
Seeing as I adore pink stitching, this was a fabulous post. Just lovely!

I'm always so inspired when I come visit with you and I want to go home and stitch, stitch stitch!!!
Have a great week:)
ALL of your Valentine finishes are lovely. They make me feel all warm and fuzzy looking at them. In fact, all of your stitching does that !!

Hi Deborah!
I love all the valentines x-stitches you have! So adorable. I just start Old Nantucket myself! Did you have any issues with the colour of the floss matching up with the model picture??? I'm having major troubles.
I LOVE everything....but especially Nantucket! Gorgeous. Did you use the called for threads? Was there any over one stitching?
Have a great day!
Paula
Very nice job Deborah!!!!! I love your owl of finished valentine stitches.....
Everything looks so lovely! I just have the best time stitching for Valentine's Day!!!
Linda
Beautiful valentine stitching
Everything is so pretty
Your stitching and finishing are so wonderful. I look forward to your updates! I was wondering about Nantucket too. I fell in love with this piece, but when the floss color of the house looked nothing like the picture I set it aside while I've been trying to find the right color match to the photo. I think part of what drew me to it was the color of that darn house! Did you change the floss color from what was called for? Thanks! Kris
What a wonderful post, Deborah--everything from your little Valentine's pillows to that lovely Nantucket sampler looks amazing!! Love the color of your house in that one--I've heard some complaints from others that it wasn't as blue as they had hoped. Yours looks perfect!
Beautiful stitching. I love reading your blog and seeing your finishes.
Kathy
You have been busy! Lovely stitching as always and I just love your Valentine display.
Your Valentine decorating is delightful! I love Nantucket. I might need to add that to my stash.
Just love the little bowl of pink Valentines....so sweet! The idea of putting them in a bowl makes such a statement! Filling a bowl with little Easter smalls ( for bunny time) or Americana smalls (for summer time) would be cute too. The Nantucket piece is just beautiful......makes me want to jump on the ferry for a visit!
Such lovely finishes for this time of year Deborah! Your LHN piece is lovely too and the colours work beautifully on the cocoa linen.
All of it is so beautiful and cheery!! You have been so busy, girl!!!!! :)
Love, love, love all of your Valentine stitching. Just gorgeous!
I love your Valentine stitching. They are all so pretty.

Wow! You must stitch in your sleep!! Goodness, you're fast! They all look wonderful!!!

I just love your valentines decorations. They look lovely in the bowl. Love the wee dog coat too. That will keep someone warm.
Such beautiful stitching and lovely designs, I love that Crazy Love and think I will search it out for myself. Thank you for your kind comments on my blog, I am trying to work my way round all those who comment on my blog, but it is taking me a while!
Happy days
Chris x
Really lovely stitching Deborah! The Valentine Smalls are beautiful. I also stitched up a few of these this year but didn't get the final finishing done in time. Both the Primitive Hare's design as well as the WTN&T Valentine are on my wishlist.
Congrats on your LHN finish. It looks great!
Your Valentines smalls are gorgeous and the Nantucket sampler is stunning, congratulations
Wonderful Valentine bowl Deborah!! I love the dining table display and your candle sticks. Finding great deals while thrifting is the best! Love your new stitches too! Can't wait to see them all done up :D
I purchased the BBD Violets Blue pattern and ordered the recommended threads. I was dumbfounded when the threads arrived because, as you said, the colors for the border are nearly identical and the colors for the violets are dull. I do like the pattern but before I proceed I am going to change the colors and fabric.
Beautiful designs well done they look stunning x
