Another Long One.
I need to thank everyone for all the great comments. It's those comments that keep me blogging. I also want to welcome my new followers. It's been extremely hot and humid in MA this summer. What that means to me is more stitching time in the air conditioning. I was never a summer person. I don't enjoy the beach. I burn very easily. I really don't like the heat and humidity. I can't wait for the fall! So I have been doing fall stitching. I needed to finish the PS monthly series. I had only August and September to do to complete the series. They both are done on 32 ct lambswool linen using DMC fibers. I have an in and out frame for them all. I had a hard with September. I don't like guns and really didn't like the hunter holding the rabbit he shot. I tried to change it but nothing else I came up with fit in so I stitched it the way it was charted. It's not my favorite month. I started the LNH mystery sampler. I am doing it on 36 ct buttercream linen from LSL with the suggested fibers. It worked up very quickly. I hear part 2 is on the way. I did Betsy by PSS. Another great little design by Paulette. I did it on 36 ct pecan butter by LSL using the suggested overdyes. The frame came from my closet. It is a tight fit but still looks okay. This little darling is the first installment Seasons of Chessie club. I love this design. It came with everything to finish it. So cute. My friend, Nataly finished it for me. Again, she had never finished a hornbook before and did a perfect job. I can't thank her enough. I finished my first Halloween design of the season. A wicked Plant by Barbara Ana Designs. I used 36 ct. pecan butter using GA fibers. Hopefully, I can do many more before the holiday. This is something I do like about summer. For me, this is the perfect meal. A lobster roll and corn on the cob. It doesn't get better. I will end this blog with a picture of Stella. She hasn't made an appearance in quite some time. She is getting so grownup. Thanks for reading my blog. Until next time .... Happy Stitching! Deborah

love the barbara ana design, must get that design for myself :). beautiful stitching all of it - Amanda
Congratulations on your finishes! I'm a big fan of both patriotic designs. Your frame fits the PSS one beautifully!
I'm with you about summer - I'm longing for the fall and cooler temps. I'd love to have my windows open during the day. I have a loooong time to wait though as fall comes very late to Florida.
Wow, I love all your finishes! So many, and all so wonderful! I see what you mean about the PS September one. Hard to change it though. I like your summer meal too -- yum! Can't wait for the cooler temps for sure -- hate the heat and humidity. Stella really is looking grown up!
wow, you've finished so much. And I love them all. I do understand your feeling about the hunter holding the rabbit, I would of had a hard time stitching that too. I all so with you... Bring on Fall.
i'll be over for lunch! LOL!! love your finishes. denise
Wow super sweet finishes...and I love them all so much.
Big hugs
Happy Sunday x
What lovely finishes! There's something to be said for staying in and avoiding the summer sun. Stella is growing into a darling young lady; I'm sure she brings joy to your home. And oh, your lunch does look yummy!
Very beautiful! So nice to see Stella again. She is so fit and trim. =)
I'm so with you this heat really gets to me. I can't wait for fall (my favorite season). There is nothing better than jeans and sweatshirts lol. Your stitching is beautiful and love, Stella! I also love your china! I have the same pattern. It was my mom's wedding china.
Try to stay cool and Happy Stitching!!
Hugs
Rose
Deborah -- What a great post! I LOVE all your finishes and the frame for Betsy looks great:))
I agree with you about Summer and I'm ready for FALL:)) Cooler weather and FOOTBALL!
Stella is such a cutie pie!
Have a great week!
All great finishes.
You've been busy!
The Lobster Roll looks yummy, and as always, Stella is just too darn cute. :)
Marilyn
Oh my gosh...all of your finishes are simply fabulous. You are one FAST stitcher. Thanks for sharing. And sweet Stella...I remember when you got her. She is a beautiful companion !!
Have a great stitching week!!
Such speedy stitching! All so beautiful. Stella is adorable!
Kathy
Beautiful stitching and finishes! Stella is so cute too!
You are so productive! Your summer lunch looks delis! Stella looks like a real sweetie
Must have A Wicked Plant, fab-o!! Also liking the Seaon of Liberty, wonderful finish. You have been a busy be, love all your stitches!stay cool and stitch on. Give Stella a squeeze from me. :)
Oh wow, what a lot of lovely stitching! Gorgeous. I suppose that's one of the up side of the heat!
I wish I could have some of that lobster roll...maybe Stella does too!
Deborah, EVERYTHING is beautiful as usual. You must be an incredibly fast stitcher. The Barbara Ana design is awesome!! I'm going to look for it right now.
If I lived closer, I'd bring Panzer to play with Stella while we ate lunch!! Love all of your stitching projects!! You certainly gave accomplished a lot!
You have so many wonderful finishes!! Stella is quite the alert dog.
Beautiful finishes! Staying indoors in the A/C definitely works. I was reading my Maine cookbook earlier, and now you p\have a pic of the lobster roll. MMmmmm............
Great finishes, well done! September is my birthday month - I was NOT happy when PS came out with *that*, after I'd been waiting for it eagerly hoping for a pretty design...
Lots of wonderful stitching happening, superb!
Wonderful finishes....every one of them! I am impressed at how much you've done. :)
I understand fully about the summer heat. Here in South Texas, it's brutal. The heat and humidity is enough to make me never want to leave the house (which I don't very often!). Thank goodness for AC.
Happy week!
Carolyn :)
Oh, lovely projects, and I'm with you on not liking the hunter and the rabbit. Oh, dear. I'm also with you on the heat (I'll be up there in a couple of weeks, so could you please turn the heat down?) What a delicious looking lobster roll--and on a top-load bun (hard to find here). It kills me that practically every cooking magazine this summer has recipes for lobster rolls that involve putting things in the mix that don't belong there.
Hi, Stella!
I love them all!!!! Great job :)
Lots for us stitchers to drool over Deb, it was so hot here yesterday (for the UK) I really do not like it. Poor old dog was feeling it too and it seems like it will be like that all week.
Hope you have a good week.
Heat and humidity are not my thing either... but that Lobster Roll? Oh YUM! Kinda makes it all better! lol! All you stitches are fabulous, but my favorite by far is the Halloween design! I've added that to my list of must stitch before the fall! Have a great day!
Gorgeous finishes! I love the PS pieces but I understand how you feel about September. The Patriotic pieces are wonderful and so is Wicked Plant.
I am dreaming of fall too.
Hugs!
Wow, so many finishes and I couldn't say which ones I like best - they are all so beuatiful. Of course, I'm partial when it comes to PS designs, they are my all-time favourites, have always been.
The Barbara-Ana project looks so very promising, I think I have to have this one, too.
What a busy stitcher your are! So many pretties. I can just imagine trying to deal with that hunter and looking for ways to modify the design. Can be very frustrating. Looks great and it will blend in with the series nicely though.
The Barbara Ana piece is my real favorite...been on my to-do list for some time.
Beautiful stitching all around. I like the start on the mystery sampler.
I'm not usually drawn to Halloween themed stitching but I really like this design by Barbara Ana Designs, especially the cute kitties and the little mouse.
Wow! You have been very busy stitching! Great finishes! I am looking forward to seeing what the LHN mystery sampler is in total. I have many of her designs. I am not real fond of stitching people at all. When or if there is something in a piece I don't like, I either don't stitch the piece or eliminate the entire section. Too bad you could not substitute something there to make you happy. Stella IS getting big! Hugs!
Beautiful stitches Deborah ... & I'm with you. I can't wait for summer to be over! That fresh sweet corn on the cob is the best thing I can say about it. Stella looks so cute!
Wow, beautiful stitching!
I'm with you on the summer heat.
Great finishes!! You've gotten sooooo much done!!! This weather really has been nice for sitting in the cool a/c and getting some stitching done. (If it weren't intolerable out there I would probably feel guilty for sitting so much. lol)
It doesn't help now that it's done but I could picture the hunter as a farmer with overalls maybe, holding a bunch of fall corn or something else fall-ish?
Since it is a primitive sampler, think of September as a representation of life in colonial times. Sometimes a rabbit shot by Dad was dinner for many days. I too despise guns but I know it was a necessity many years ago.
Congrats on your finishes. Each one is just as sweet as the one before. .....now I'm hungry for a lobster roll!
While September may to be your favorite, it is very well done. I do like your patriotic stitches - they are both very sweet, and what a cool Barbara Ana design. You've been very productive on the stitching front.
Beautiful finishes x
Wow! So many wonderful finishes! Puts me to shame.
I love comments too. You get waaaay more than I do but then you finish waaaay more than I do!
Congratulations on your lovely finishes, so many!
Oh, so many beautiful, beautiful finishes, Deborah!! I do love the patriotic ones so much. I know what you mean about the hunting theme of September--that's not my thing either. Not sure if I'll be stitching that one at all. I wish she had just done something with acorns and squirrels!
Oh, I just love them all but especially that sweet Stella!
Oh wow you have been busy! Everything looks just gorgeous.
Such lovely finishes Deborah! I'm always amazed when I come visit your blog at how fast you stitch and finish. Very inspiring!! Love the PS finishes and I think the September one is okay. It would've been hard to rechart. That meal is the perfect meal! Lobster rolls!! Mmmm. Send Stella a hug for me!
You have some amazing finishes, I am hard pressed to find a definite favorite in all of this gorgeousness! I do love your Chessie and Me hornbrook-it's awesome and the finishes looks perfect. So sad I missed out on that club!
Congratulations, you've had some gorgeous finishes
Oh I love all your finishes! What inspiration and enabling for us haha. I hadn't really noticed that hunter on the Sept PS chart until you pointed it out. Probably you won't notice it much now it's done.
I'm so envious of your lobster roll. Last fall we went with our nephew & his wife to New England for a trip and had our first-ever lobster roll at the Maine Diner and also out by some lighthouses. We were in Heaven! I think I could get seriously addicted to them..........
I just love stopping by your place and seeing what you've been up to. You never disappoint! Such lovely finishes.
It's funny that I just pulled out my Wicked Plant and got back to working on it again. If you had told me you were stitching it, I'd forgotten.
Yours looks fantastic!
Wow, you have been so productive! I am amazed at all your lovely finishes! I agree with your comments about the September piece. I didn't purchase it. I haven't stitched August either yet. I'm afraid I'm woefully behind on getting this group done.
Love both of your monthly PS finishes, I'm an Autumn person too. I think the PSS finish looks great in that frame and I love the Halloween finish.
Your friend did a wonderful job of finishing that hornbook for you :)
Your work is so beautiful and motivational! I've been digging through my stash looking for various charts since being introduced to your blog yesterday! Love everything you've done.
