Some Wonderful Things

This is Quaker Boo by the Sampler Girl. It came in my first batch of stash, which I forgot to get a photo of. So many great things, so little time... The color of the fabric doesn't photograph well. The color is an olivey green color, which goes very well with the suggested fibers. The main color is a dark green not black. I just love this piece. I haven't decided how to finish it yet. It's about 4"x6". Any ideas?
I received this wonderful giveaway from Andrea at Deep Fried Cupcakes! Isn't it wonderful!?

I thought that I would show (bore) you afew more of the Halloween decorations. There is stitching in all of them. This is alittle shelf in the kitchen.
This is at the end of the kitchen table. I also quilt alittle and made the table runner last year.

One of my favs.
I need to thank everyone for the kind comments and emails regarding Sammi. Everyone was so sweet to think about my baby. She is doing remarkably well since the addition of the medication. Almost no coughing and much perkier. We will be going back into Boston tomorrow for her cardiac tests but I am sure that she will be fine.

Please check out Nataly's Needle Creations because she is having a wonderful Pink Giveaway!

I was picked by Edgar to be in his PIF and now I will be hosting one of my own. Sometime in the next 365 days , I will send a stitched and finished item to 3 recipients. I will choose 3 people who leave a comment on this post. ( anyone can comment but please state that you want to be in the PIF in the comment) In return, you must host a PIF for 3 other stitchers. I hope that I haven't confused the heck of you all. Until next time--Happy Stitching.

I love seeing how others incorporate their stitching and their decor! I have had the Quaker Boo design in my Autumn stitching folder for a couple of years (from when it was a freebie!) I need to get moving on it! Yours looks great!

LOVELY stitching! How 'bout a "long" pillow for that Sampler Girl finish with fabric on each side and then the back to make it up?

I'll sit the PiF out; I'm trying to avoid these as I'm wary of over-committing for the end of this year/beginning of next.

I enjoyed seeing all your displays. I think I would find a nice 4x6 frame and frame that Quaker Boo piece - lovely stitching. I am happy to hear Sammi is doing better. Good luck tomorrow.

I love your Quaker Boo! What about finishing it as a flatfold? It would look lovely sitting on a small table. Your decorating for Halloween and autumn is great! Is that a Jim Shore witch that I've spotted? I love how you've displayed everything.
I would have loved to participate in the PIF but at this time I can't commit to anything because of work.

Love your latest Halloween finish, Deborah! Such pretty colors in that chart. I have it, too, but, haven't had enough time to get to it.

It is so much fun to see your Halloween decorating--your stitched pieces add so much to the whole effect! I especially love the little statue of the black cat on the pumpkin--can you tell me who makes it?

Your Halloween displays are adorable Deborah. What fun..and to be able to add your stitching to it all...it's great!!
I'm glad to hear that Sammi is responding to the meds and is coming along.
I just finished a LHN piece (on my blog)that was approx. 6x6. I had the same dilemma as to how to finish it. I chose to do a flat finish that can be hung or displayed on an easel. Whatever you choose, the stitching is lovely.
Thank you for the chance to be included in a PIF
