I started this the other day and I must say, that I am not enjoying it. Love the design but the colors are very close in their shades. It was very hard to pick a fabric that will allow all the colors to be seen.
Yesterday I decided to make bread by hand. This is Christmas Stollen. My braiding leaves alot to be desired, but it turned out delicious! It's full of fruit and nuts. I have a bread machine and use it a lot but I really enjoyed the kneading and rising and kneading again. It was very soothing. I will be taking a loaf over to Cheryl's for Christmas Eve. She has a yearly family gathering, which we have been going to for 20 years or so.
This is alittle sampling of the cookies we made on Tuesday. We have sugar cookies, hermits, applesauce cookies, peanut butter kiss cookies and orange brownie bites (which are to die for).
I want to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas full of love and peace. Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog. I have enjoyed reading all of yours and seeing all the extraordinary work that you all do. Peace to all.

Too bad it was so hard to pick a fabric for the BBD piece. It looks like you chose a good one though! The bread looks delicious and so do the cookies! I hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas!
Mia's mad at me now -- forgot to say she says Merry Christmas to Sammi. :D
Yum! Merry Christmas to you and your family
Merry Christmas! Isn't it funny how some pieces are a joy to stitch and some just aren't... It does look beautiful, though. I'm sure you'll love it when it's all done!
Merry Christmas to you and your family
I have the same feeling about SG. I haven't gotten it yet, and I love looking at it, but fabric choice is a problem, and I wonder if I'll enjoy stitching it. :)
Your homemade goodies look delicious! Merry Christmas!
Christmas Blessings to you and your family - including precious Sammi!
Lola, Glitter, and Ziggy send Sammi Very Merry Christmas wishes. I might have to sneak by for a cookie. ;o)
What a lot of lovely food you have made. Merry Christmas Sammi to you and yours.
All the best,
Shirley, Archie, Wilberforce and Higgins
Merry Christmas. Your baking and treats look yumm. x
Merry Christmas, Deborah!
Sometimes it really is tough to find the right fabric, but I think your choice looks nice with those soft colors.
The baking looks terrific! Have a wonderful holiday!
Loved your snowy photos; everything looked so nice and Christmasy! The cookies looked yummy! My sugar cookie dough was too soft to make cut-outs, couldn't even make them into balls to flatten. I had to just spoon the dough onto the cookie sheet and use the spoon to spread them out. I guess they turned into tea cakes instead. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
Oh yum! Look delicious Deborah :o)
Merry Christmas to you and Sammi!

Your stitching does look lovely and delicate even if it is a strain on the eyes.
