A Little Stitching and A little Christmas

It's raining here. we have had about 2 1/2 inches. As much as I want snow, I am glad that all we had is rain. We would have had about 2-3 feet of the white stuff. I know that many of you in the mid-west are getting buried in snow. I hope all of you are safe and warm. It's been a busy week-end but I did manage to get a little stitching done. This is February by PS using 32 ct lambswool jobelan and DMC.
. This is the family room with our new Christmas tree. Much smaller and streamlined. I love it. I have a collection Of Byers Choice Carolers. I have decorated both of my mantles with them and afew other places around the house. Sorry that I left the TV on, I just noticed it.

A little closer shot of the tree. I don't have that many stitched ornaments on it. Next year I have a pencil type tree that will hold the stitched ornaments.
I read on Donna's blog (Needleworker not in paradise) that Ginny Thompson passed away. I had the honor of meeting her and her husband, Ken on 3 occasions in the 80's. . They held a wonderful business seminar in Pawley's Island. I learned alot and they gave me the know how and the courage to open my first store. I will always be grateful to them both. They also had retreats that I attended. Ken is the man that taught me how to stitch on linen. He was a wonderful teacher. The world of cross stitch will miss them both. Until next time.... Happy Stitching. Deborah

Hi Deborah! I missed my visits on blogland and you were one of them. How fun to come by and see your tree looking so beautiful and festive. Love you mantle with the carolers. As you read on my blog, this is my last year for my Victorian tree. It is just too much work for me now. And now I read that you too have a smaller tree this year although this is still very large. I love decorating for the holidays even if I cannot physically keep up well. I will look forward to seeing your stitching pencil pine tree next year. I did my prim free ornaments on my blog last year and have them all on one tree in my studio year round. It is fun to see up even in the heat of summer.

Loving your latest PS piece but then again I love February for Valentine's Day and my birthday. :-)

Hugs from Holland ~
Heidi

I love your PS piece -- and your tree is gorgeous! Your livingroom looks so cozy. We just had rain too, thank goodness. Not looking forward to snow. Sorry to hear about Ginny Thompson. She will definitely be missed.

We had a soaking rain yesterday and bit of 'winter mix' this morning. But we're back in the deep freeze and it's cold!

The PS piece is great. I love that design.

Your family room looks very warm and inviting with those decorations.

What beautiful stitching! I need to find some lambswool jobelan for some of my January challenge projects, I think. It looks like a pretty color.

Your christmas tree and mantle decorations are lovely. I'd love to have a stitched tree. If that is to be the case, I'd better get busy!
