Beaded Fringe

I did Dog Rules for Joannne for Christmas. It was done on 32ct Natural linen over one. She works in a cubical and didn't have alot of room, so it needed to be small. I stitched the dog to look like Sammi. I have had alot of time to stitch because of the really awful weather. It snowed yesterday and it's snowing now (another 6-19 inches) and it's going to snow on Saturday. Really, could we have more fun.
to This is my latest pin cushion. The design is BBD done 32 ct bittersweet linen using baked apple floss. The beaded fringe is really much prettier in person than the picture shows. The color is lovely. I really, really love it. Not as much as pom-pom fringe, but close. The draw back is that it had to be done by hand. As always, Cheryl came through and did it for me. But she did say never again! It was a pain in the butt. I do love it. You can click on the photo's to get a larger view.

This is My Valentine by BBD finished. I am having a hard time finding the right frame for it.
Made this little pillow for Valentine's Day. 32 ct Autumn Blush with Wild Beries floss by CC.

This is a SB design and will be made into a pillow after we go fabric shopping. Hopefully on Friday, between storms. Still stitching from my stash and still enjoying it. I know, it's still January but I am trying to keep strong.

I got some comments about keeping some of the designs that I pop in and out of frames each month, in plastic bags. I appreciate the input and am now keeping them wrapped in acid free paper in a dresser drawer. Thanks for the tip! See, I really do read all the comments and appreciate them all.
I am getting close to having 300 followers, only need 10 more and then I will have a giveaway! Yahoo. Until next time, keep warm and safe and Happy Stitching! Deborah

Your Valentine stitches are really lovely! The beading on the BBD is exquisite. I don't think I'd have the patience to do that one by hand.
Almost 300 followers, wow that's incredible!! Good for you.

You have some beautiful finishes featured in this post. I really like the beaded fringe too but can see it would be fiddly.

That over-one work is hard to do! I don't do much of it anymore. I admire anyone who works it. And you do so WORK IT GIRL!!!

I guess we know what you're doing when you're not Blogging ;o) Dog Rules looks fantastic in that frame. I really need to get to mine.

You seem to be set for Valentine's Day! Congrats on all of your beautiful finishes :o) The fringe really is lovely on that pin cushion.

Who makes the baked apple floss?

I love it all but especially the last one. I have the pattern of 'dog lessons' and plan to stitch up many for Christmas. What was your frame size? Do you remember?

i love your post. :-) Good job stitching from your stash. I'm working on my 15 crazy starts and have the worst impulse to buy something new. Luckily - or unluckily - I don't have any money to spend, so it's easier to stay focused. :-)

I really like your dog lessons and SB Valentine finishes. I need to put the dog lessons one on my wish list to make for my dd.

Have a lovely (snowy) day!

Busy lady - and great work! Dog Lessons is on my to-do list, but I doubt I'll be doing it over 1. That's impressive!

I am in awe of how you are able to balance your time between keeping up with the house and stitching. I'd get a lot more stitching done if I would get off this computer! (but I love looking at finishes and being enabled!)
Your BBD Valentine piece is gorgeous and is my favorite. Keep enabling me Deb! Miss you!

Love all your finishes. I especially like the beaded fringe on your pincushion and I LOVE the Valentine SB! Too cute:)

At least the snow is good for something -- staying inside and stitching!

A postful of stitchy goodies! Love your finishes! As for the snow, not getting as much stitching done here - too much shoveling, drying of kids gloves/snowpants and refereeing snowball fights!

Wow! You are so prolific!! Just one finish after another. I have not seen dog rules before-so cute!

Wow! What a lot of gorgeous finishes!
The beaded trim may have been a pain, but it's just so pretty!

I would say that beaded trim was worth the extra effort--it looks fabulous. And how cute is dog rules stitched over one, Deborah--great job :)

Hope that snow leaves you alone for a while--my sister lives in Massachusetts, too, and has had a terrible winter just like you...

Love the pincushion and what great color names! Your other pieces are wonderful too. Hope the snow stops sooner rather than later.

You really have been busy. The weather certainly agrees with your stitching. What a trooper you are do the Dog Rules in over-one and do all the hand-sewing on the pin cushion!

What could be more fun? Power outage... I just came out of 48 hours with no power... like being on Survivor!

I am just green with envy about your snow! Can you go outside a blow a few flakes over the ocean? :-) And my but this is so good for your stitching. You are a stitching machine. Love all but really love that pincushion with the beaded fringe.

Hugs from Holland ~
