A Little of This and a Little of That

I did this lovely little piece last week, just in time for Easter. It was a quick and fun stitch. I didn't put in the words. Instead, I put in the year and my little odd initials.
I am crazy for this box. It's a very good buy. I will do other designs just so I can continue to have the box displayed. I may have to get the black one, as well.
I picked up this piece last week from the framer. I really love how it turned out. Below is a close up of the frame. It looks old and beat up, which I think works for the sea aspect of the design. The color of the frame matches the floss perfectly.

A month or so ago, Cheryl and I went looking for flower frogs. We were very successful. The picture doesn't show the true color of the glass, which is pink. I was so happy to find to find a pink bottom. I got more of them, which I will show later.
I have 400 followers!! WOW I am thankful for all of you. I am going to have a giveaway. Stay tuned for my next post. I hope that you will like what I have planned. Until next time...Happy Stitching! Deborah

I love your finishes. The Shepherds Bush one especially is so sweet. Your flower frog is so pretty! I've been collecting scissors lately and been looking for one but unfortunately I have yet to lay eyes on one here in Malaysia.

Where did you find that box? Perfect for your little lamb. I've admired Down to the Sea for quiet awhile. And your frame is gorgeous! Love that I can tell what 'my' initials will look like on it! Have to ask - is your middle initial R? And I've seen that color of glass at my Mom's - great you could find a bottom for your frog.

What a gorgeous box, Deborah! I can see why you want to get it in black, too. And that frame is perfect for the seaside piece. Your pink flower frog is one of the prettiest I've seen--guess I need to go shop in Massachusetts :)

We have a very hard time keeping those boxes in the shop. Too cute! I like the chart better without the words, good idea!

I am always on the lookout for a flower frog when I go out thrifting and antiquing but never find any, especially a pretty base like you found! Congratulations on a great find!

The box finish is great. I never would have thought of using my initials rather than the saying. Now I have to go back and look at a couple other patterns...
