My First Exchange and More

Lainey had a Spring exchange. This was first time that I had particpated in an exchange and I loved it. My partner was Chris at Tot Hill and this is the beautiful ornie she made for me. It is a PS design and I love it. Her stitching and finishing are wonderful. Below are all the goodies she sent me.

The candy has been consumed, the hand sanitizer, tissues and the cutest little notepad are already in use. Again, thank you to Chris for such a wonderful exchange.

This is the pin pillow I made for Chris. It's a BBD design. It was so much fun to do. Below are the goodies I gave to Chris. Candy, of course, a tin with a cookie in it, a pair of scissors and a skein of silk.

I won a giveaway that that Magee had. She had very inventive giveaways. This one was if we could pick our name, what would it be. I said Autumn, which is true. Love the name, time of year and the colors. I love the fall designs that I won.

It has been a busy couple of weeks. I am getting the house ready to put on the market. It seems that the work is endless. Hope to call in the realtors next week. I did manage to get some stitching in. I did these 6 little ornies for Spring. They are from a very old PS chart (1991).

This is 13 Colonies by LHN. I am using 32 ct Navy Bean with the suggested DMC, WDW and CC fibers. This is going to be very large but I am loving every stitch. With all the wavy borders and veins your counting has to be spot on. Sorry about the lousy pictures. It is dark and rainy here. I couldn't escape the shadows.

I had hoped to have my giveaway ready for this post but the mail has held me up. It will be in my next post, so stay tuned.

I hope every one has a wonderful Easter. Until next time....Happy Stitching. Deborah

The ornaments are adorable. And the LHN piece is looking good.

Don't envy you doing that house sale prep. Good that you take some time out for stitch therapy!

Love the exchange pieces! I've not participated in an exchange. Deadlines don't work well for me. I'm glad you had a good experience.

Thank you Deborah for your kind comments on my stitching and finishing. Since I don't sew I am challenged in the finishing area! Have I told you how much I love the piece that you stitched for me?

Your first ever exchange looks like a rousing success! I love all your stitching as usual. Good luck with getting your house ready to sell. It is hard to clear out all your treasures so that it appeals to buyers.

Now that's what I call a perfect exchange, Deborah--beautiful pieces both given and received!

I'll love watching 13 Colonies appear on your posts--that is such a pretty piece.

I bet getting the house ready to show is eating into your stitching time. Good luck--hope it all goes smoothly :)

What a wonderful exchange for you and Chris. Love her beautiful PS ornament and your BBD pillow...just gorgeous. What fun! "Thirteen Colonies" is coming along beautifully and I will be watching for your progress on it too.

Wishing you success in putting your house on the market! Times are difficult, but one never knows and you may have a buyer before you know it! We downsized a few years ago and sold our 11 room home. It was a lot of work getting everything ready, but cleaning out was a really "good thing" after all, and we were glad we did it.

My friend...it has been too long since I was able to take a few moments to visit you. I missed reading your posts. And now to hear the news that you are moving? Are you staying in that area or going farther away?

Your exchange gifts you received are beautiful. I just love the pin pillow you stitched for Chris!!!

I was just thinking of you last week when I dusted my scissor tree off. The little stocking you made for me hangs on it year round. :-)

Hugs from Holland ~

Lovely gift exchanges! What fun :o)

I didn't realize you're moving! Getting a house ready to sell is a lot of work.

At least you've still found time to stitch and that doesn't surprise me ;o) LOL!
