For The Love Of Betsy!

First, I need to apologize for the crummy pictures. It has been gray and rainy all day. Now to Betsy. I have wanted, OK really, really wanted this pattern. Betsy by Sheepish Designs. I have tryed to buy it on ebay, to no avail. I have tryed to win it from different blogs, to no avail. I would have started begging all my stitchy blog friends soon. A couple of weeks ago one of the blogs that I read mentioned that Em-Li's was now selling Sheepish Designs. I am so sorry that I can't remember who's blog I read it on. Anyway, I went to her site, copied the order form and it was in the mail the next day. I also ordered Sarah Saulter. They came the other day. I am still giggling like a school girl because I am so pleased to have this design. It took everything I had to finish what I was stitching before starting her. I am using 32 ct sand dune LSL with DMC. The fabric is a soft gold color. I just love every stitch.

This is June by DT. on 32 ct flax linen using VC silks.

This is another little box from BBD. It's in the Stitchers Journey book. I also did the little pin pillow for the inside. I will show all when I put it together. You can click on any of the pics for a better view.

This is Coming Home by SB. Quick and easy stitch. It will go in the cream box. (which I love)

Thanks for stopping by. I love all of the comments that you leave me. Next post will be about my recent visit to By The Bay Needlework in York Maine. This is the cutest little shop. I love Donna's designs and it was wonderful to seeing them all hanging
. So until next time....Happy Stitching! Deborah

I'm so glad you found Betsy! I stitched this one up but now I am wondering what I did with it....I know it's not in my finished box and I never did get it framed - Oh My! I guess I will be on a hunt for it or I'll be stitching this one again. It's a great piece and I know you will LOVE stitching it. Can't wait to see it all done.

What a pretty new start, I'm so glad you managed to track it down.
You have some lovely finishes as well, I especially like the BBD one, and am planning on stitching this myself eventually and trying a box finish.

Really nice finishes there. That little SB heart is adorable. Can't wait to see those boxes made up.

I didn't realize that By The Bay had an actual bricks and mortar shop. I love her designs.

Seeing your excited post about Betsy reminds me that I had a rug canvas drawn up from my chart - Now where the heck is that rug??? I will be on a mission to start it - I do have the stitched companion piece started. I felt the same excitement when I located a copy of Ann PA Peacock not long ago. WHEEEEE - doesn't take much to make us happy - Love all your finishes and how fun you get to go to By the Bay - please take lots of photos for us. Enjoy! Melody

What beautiful pieces you're working on. I'm SO happy that you found the pieces that you really wanted. Isn't it fun that all other stitchers know exactly what you mean by that "giggly school girl" feeling when you find just the "right" design that "sings" to your heart? :)
