WIPs and Wonderful Stitchy Stuff!

First up is my latest start, The Mighty Oak Sampler. I love this design and it's such a great stitch. The fabric is 30 ct weeks fabric called parchment. It's a yellow color with wonderful variation in color, not the color that the picture shows. I am using belle soie silks. I love the silks. They are a dream. There is quite a bit of over one stitching, which I love.

All the words, letters and the little animals and birds are over one. How cute is that squirrel?

And the birds.

I have finished Spring and will be starting Summer next Wednesday at group. There are different specialty stitches in this one and they make it interesting. This sampler will be gorgeous when finished. I have already found a place to hang it. You can click on any of the pics for a larger view.

I love all things stitchy related. I tried to resist this box but finally just gave in. It is so wonderful. The painting is perfect. I am going to keep my NPI silks in it. A wonderful addition to the craft room.

All my friends know that I have a thing for scissors. Really, who doesn't? I loved the new daisy scissors and the bunny needleminder. Had to have them. The other pair has become one of my favs. Scissors with jewerly. Does it get any better. The little crystal is green in color, which is my birthstone. Had to have them. See, I can justify anything. But really, aren't they just lovely.

A couple of new patterns. Brenda of With Thy Needle and Thread is becoming one of my favorite designers. Love the new Fall sampler. I need some floss before I start this beauty.

Lastly, I can't wait to do one of Donna's little designs. I bought the scissor fob to put it in. Very sea like with sand dollors and sea shells on it.

That's all I have for today. Hope I didn't bore you. Thanks for all the kind comments on my last post. I appreciate them. Stay cool. It's 100 here today and I am thankful for the central air. Until next time....Happy Stitching! Deborah

Hi Deborah, I enjoy reading your blog.Love your WIPs, they're coming along nicely! I may have to break down and get that Stitch and Inch design. A woman was stitching one last week at my LNS.She was doing it on silk gauze and it looked great. I got the box too! Sigh...couldn't resist. Love the scissors. I haven't seen the birthstone ones! I'm an August bday and that looks like my birthstone. Thanks for sharing, Nancy in NY

Your Mighty Oak does look like it is going to be something special. But, your Spring is absolutely AWESOME - just gorgeous!!

Those stitchy things are great too. I go for periods when I am good and can pass items up, but then....

Great stitching and beautiful stitchy bits. The daisy scissors are really pretty but they look as though they'd be a bit uncomfortable to use

Mighty Oak looks great! I am collecting the mags for the band sampler too - love the colors in it. Wonderful new stash - I had to get the By The Bay chart and a fob too! Have to finish up the Mystery Sampler first but I am itching to start on those little inchies.

Oh I need to tell you.......I was going through my blogs, the ones that I follow. Yours shows me that you haven't posted in 2 years! Now what's up with that? I almost "cleaned you out". That would have been terrible! Major panic avoided!

Anywhoo.....I absolutely love your stitching and am reminded once again why I started to follow your blog to start with! I really need to figure out why my reader has not recognized your postings for the last TWO YEARS!!
