It Has Been a Good Week!

It has been a good and very busy week here in New England. Got some stitching done and I will start with Elizabeth by LHN.
I started doing the woman and realized the her skin color and the color of her dress are almost the same color. Instead of frogging her face, I just put her away and moved on to Autumn by BBD. This went much better.
I really love this design and will be finishing this section and doing Winter before I go back to Elizabeth. It was an excellent mail week for me. My blogging buddy, Myra sent me this beautiful ort container that she made. The fabric is beautiful. I think that it is Blueberry Crumble by BBD.
The card so cute and I love the leopard bag that it was in. Thanks so much, Myra! I received some gift certificates for Christmas and I used part of one for last years Halloween scissor block and tray by Liberty Hill. I love these items.
I added my spider web scissors. Perfect. Theresa at Shakespeare's peddler had a really good fabric sale recently and I couldn't resist getting some. Aren't they beautiful!
We had our first real snow this week. Finally. I love snow but Stella, not so much.
She was really getting the idea that she needs to do her business in the grass and then the snow came. Couldn't find the grass. We spent alot of time in the snow.
One last picture of Stella in her Patriots jersey. I am not one to dress up dogs but Joanne bought the jersey and it came off right after the picture. We won the game so the jersey will have to be worn one more time for the Super Bowl! I want to thank everyone for the wonderful comments. They mean alot. I noticed that i have gotten some new followers. Welcome. I will try not to bore you with Stella pictures every post. It will be hard for me. Until next time......Happy Stitching! Deborah

Oh so many pretties! Love the border on the LHN piece! I have the graphs for the BBD - and it is on my list of projects to start. Stella is adorable. I'm sure the snow was fun for her.

Your needlework is beautiful.

Please do continue sharing Stella pictures. Our pet children are just the best!

I love Liberty Hill things, the scissors addition is most appropriate.

Great progress on your stitching and the ort bag is lovely. The halloween scissor block and tray look perfect with your fancy scissors. Do you actually use those or are they just decorative, they look as though they might be a bit uncomfortable to hold?
Stella seems to like the snow

Great start on Elizabeth. It's just too bad you have to do some frogging on her. It's just as well you put her aside for now. It gives you time to think things out.
Autumn is gorgeous!! I have the series of these but I know I won't get to them this year.
I could never be bored by Stella. She's just too cute!

Great stitching and Stella is very cute :)

Your stitching is beautiful. That's weird about how her face almost matches her dress. Are they the colors the chart called for?
I like Stella's jersey! She's adorable.

Awww, poor baby! Hope she figured out the snow eventually. So cute! Your stitching is so pretty! Love both pieces. I can see the difference in color myself between the dress and face, but I can see the colors are very close. Odd.

Keep up sharing pix of Stella...she is gorgeous:)

I love the fabrics you've got...sometimes I wish I lived in the US as you have sooo many wonderful shops online and IRL to go get fabric and threads...and patterns of course...I may have to save up a stash fund and go to the US just for some fun shopping...lol

Live in Orkney (just above Scotland on the map) at the moment, but in just about a week we are moving to Inverness...can't wait for the move...taking some time for stitching as well:)

So sorry about Elizabeth's face.
You did some wonderful stash buying. Love the ORT container. That might be an easy one to copy since you are looking for a pattern.
Stella is too cute in the snow.

Beautiful stitching and wonderful goodies! Love the scissor block.

As soon as it snows around here the back deck suddenly becomes a bathroom for my dogs. Funny how a little snow can changes their habits.

Elizabeth is beautiful but I see what you mean. Shouldn't take too much to fix her though.

LOVE the BBD piece but still can't understand why there are only three seasons...

Looks like you got some fun things to make you smile but then again, you do have Stella ;o) You're not boring me with her sweet pictures!

That white stuff can be a bit confusing at first. I hope Stella grows to love the snow as much as my pups love it.
Your stitching is so pretty. I hope you can find a happy compromise to the dress/skin color.

I love your stitching and your pictures of Stella. Both designs are beautiful and your gifts were delightful. Puppies and snow are so funny....it doesn't usually snow where I live...but one year it did and oh my goodness the kids loved it and our sheltie looked at them like " you have to be kidding me"...grins. Hope you are having a good day.

Perhaps Elizabeth is a New Englander! I remember being about that white in the middle of the winter! 8-) The BBD is on my list of starts for this year and I am really looking forward to it as all the progress pics I've seen are beautiful. Despite what my cats think, Stella pictures are never boring.

That Elizabeth is gorgeous, but I see what you mean about the matching skin and dress tone. Not good to look all ghost like!! Love the BBD loose feathers design. That ort bag is super sweet! I love that blue fabric!! Stella is darling, with that little bit of snow on her nose. Poor gal didn't know where to wee!
