Is It Autumn Yet?

I am so tired of the hot and humid weather. Summer is not my season. I have decided that I need to stitch Fall designs. I had Autumn Alphabet stretched and put in an in and out frame. Love the colors. After Autumn Band sampler was stretched, it also went into an in and out frame. Halloweenies is my favorite of all of these pieces. I just love Paulette's designs. I think that the frame is perfect for the design. Next up is Autumn on Marigold Lane.
I think that this will probably be framed. It was a fun stitch that worked up quickly. I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. This was a big BD ..... 60! I wondered if I would feel different with this BD and I am glad to say that I don't. Yeah!! lol. I went to New Hampshire and Vermont with friends for a few days. I was treated like a queen. Stayed in a beautiful B&B, ate some wonderful food, shopped and saw some gorgeous scenery. I was a wonderful way to spend my birthday.
Again, I want to thank all of you for the great comments on my last post. I appreciate them all. Until the next time ...... Happy Stitching! Deborah

Happy Belated Birthday!

I'm so over summer too. Like you, it's not my season. My husband says I don't belong in Florida. I think he's right.

You've been busy! Love your finishes.

Your finishes and frame choices are all so pretty! And, happy belated birthday - I missed your last post but gosh, you found some great stuff and that cake looked awesome!

Right now, we are having beautiful weather in Michigan, the breeze is cool and the windows are open. So, I'm not quite ready to wish summer away.

Deborah, I am soooo agreeing with you. I live in the Panhandle of Texas and it is just hothot-evil-hot! I've started a table runner that combines felting, sewing and embroidery. Just the fall-y colors make me feel cooler, as do the lovely pictures you posted. The green tree and the cool river...aaahhh! Thank you!

I fully agree with you about this summer. I am really hoping for an early fall. Beautiful finishes. And the photos remind me so much of home (I lived in central NH for 20+ years before moving to VA)

Love all of your fall finishes! I'm another person that is ready for some cooler weather, but unfortunately in Southern California I won't get very much of an autumn.

Your birthday trip to NH and VT sounds ideal, Deborah!! I'm sure it made turning 60 a bit easier...I'm only 3 years behind you!!

Gorgeous stitching on some really nice patterns!

I don't want to see summer end. I love the freedom of going outside with no hat, coat, gloves, scarf and not worrying about ice and snow! But I guess I have no choice but to adjust!

I love all your Fall pieces! I'm working on that Lizzie Kate sampler right now. It is perfect for the "Fall" state of mind I find myself in. All my current projects are in an autumn palette-cross stitch, quilting, knitting. Congratulations on your birthday! Sixty is the new forty - at least that's what I'm telling myself since my sixtieth is next year.
